Chapter 26

During the hot Summer night when everyone else in the house was sound asleep a hungry little Luffy snuck upstairs and broke into the fridge. So when the host Sanji woke up early the next morning to make breakfast he found a completely empty fridge and scattered packets cleared of all their prior contents surrounding the raven haired glutton.

So instead of waking up pleasantly to a hot chocolate like the two previous mornings you are woken by incomprehensible yelling from upstairs. You groggily clamber up the stairs to see what all the commotion is about.

As soon as you reach the top of the stairs you are almost knocked back down them in Luffy's desperate attempt to save himself from the fuming blonde.

"What happened?" You ask Nami who also looks rather pissed.

"He ate everything." She grumbles. "We have to go get more food." She sighs and her anger dissipates slightly as she pulls out the 8 straws that are usually used to select who does chores.

You groan and wake up the others, dragging them upstairs.

Everyone stands in a circle, yawning and rubbing their eyes as Nami explains that whoever picks one of the three red dipped straws will have to go get groceries.

You grab one and hold it up to see the red colouring on one end. Looking around you see that the other two red straws are in the hands of Sanji and Usopp.

"Shouldn't Luffy come if he was the cause of all this?" Usopp complains.

"He'd eat all the food in the supermarket." You reply. "It would be a waste of energy."

"Get ready." Sanji says. "We'll leave in 10 minutes."

You return downstairs to get changed into light clothes and check the injury on your forearm which seems to be doing fine. Your phone vibrates and you check it to see a notification from Law. You open it to find a selfie of Shachi and Penguin who had obviously stolen Law's phone. Underneath it were a few messages from the two trouble makers.

「when will you get back? SoulKing and SuperCyborg are not good with this whole alliance thing on Tribals」

With Law's way of keeping things orderly and neat you are sure Brook and Franky aren't keeping up too well.

「It's only day three guys, I've still got half a week left.」you reply.

「nooooooo」you smile at their message. 「Law misses you」they tease.

「oh really?」you inquire.

「yeah, he keeps saying things like "if (Y/N) were here she'd beat your ass" to Penguin」

「and you interpret that as him missing me?」

「there was another thing he said.」the phone thief mentions. He continues typing. 「It was something along the lines ofnthgd uhsag klfkgs」

You stare at your screen and the gibberish that had just been sent.

「so Law is possessed by demons?」you inquire.

「no, I'm perfectly fine. Can't say the same for Shachi though」Law replies.

「what about Penguin?」 you ask.

「he looks a little traumatised but he'll get over it. How are you doing?」

「I cut my arm yesterday and I've got to go get more groceries soon as Luffy ate everything, even the raw meat.」you explain.

「that doesn't sound healthy, you should watch out that he doesn't go and die.」

「he'll be fine, this isn't the first time he's done this.」you reply.
