Dear journal,
It has literally been months, and I still haven't called the number. Well I've been thinking. The note I found said the owner wanted to receive the bird back. I could call this person. I could.
But I can't.
Because I lost the bird a long time ago.
But maybe this person deserves to know that the note was found? I can only imagine how troubled their soul must be. Knowing that their little pet is gone, lost.
Perhaps it's even dead.
I've been thinking about this for weeks on end, and yesterday, I decided I'd call. It's taken so long, but I've finally decided to sacrifice the little I've saved up to call this number. Now all I must do, is get to the nearest pay-phone.
