21. Let The Best Hero Win

"Yaoyorozo, Jiro, Bakugo." I turn around seeing Mineta and Kaminari, "hey guys what's up?" I held my tray facing the guys, "Well, I'm sure you already know since you're a class rep and all, but they said everyone has to wear those clothes to do a cheer battle in the afternoon" I gasped turning to Yaoyorozo, " I didn't hear anything about this event", " be neither" Jiro stood shocked having no words in this, " you don't have to believe me, but we heard from Mr.Aizawa. I thought maybe you'd forgotten so I'd tell you just in case" I hummed walking up to the purple haired male, " I'll go ask then just to make sure" I walked past him and Kaminari going to the watch room. I eat my food on the way conveniently finding a tray holder I left it running to the watch room.

I knocked waiting for someone to open Present Mic opens it greeting me with a wide smile, " hey there short stack, what'cha need?" "first of all, I'm not that short second I was wondering if Aizawa sensei was inside I need to ask him something" he shakes his head rubbing his chin, " the last thing I remember him saying is that he's going to find a quiet place to sleep. Don't know why though" he grinned down at me. His eyebrows lift snatching my book right out of my hands, " cute book, you nearly killed yourself because of this short stack" remembering the previous event I whistle looking to the side, " this actually gives me an idea, how 'bout I take this book until the next event it'll be a good surprise", " no thanks, I'd rather keep my book", " no no trust me it's going to be great!!"

I weigh my options on this nodding not before holding his hands as he gripped the book, " don't lose it, okay?" "y-yeah hurry now short stack the event is about to begin"

Two people decided to withdraw feeling bad about not remembering anything. I felt bad for Ojiro as he looked down ashamed for not knowing what happened, " And so, Tetsutetsu and Shiozaki have moved up to make sixteen! This is the bracket based on the results of the drawing!" the names popped up I searched for mines finally running into it, " who the hell is Aoyama?" I felt someone tap my shoulder I turned around,'oh it's that guy' "Bonjour Mademoiselle~ I' ll apologize in advance for defeating you~" I snicker patting his shoulder, " you're a really funny dude" I spark my hand my eyes glowing, " seeing as how I've made it this far. I'm not letting myself lose to a narrow-minded person" I say coldly I'm not a mean person I'm not. I'm just a very competitive person when it comes to games. I guess you can say my Katsuki side "shows" when I'm playing.

I didn't bother joining the small games they set up for the students instead I left the stadium chillin' in the trees. I'd rather be calm than be a crazy gorilla in front of everyone." Bakugo-chan? Are those your feet?" I hear someone below me I move the leaves from my face seeing Fumi-kun at the bottom, " yeah it's me, want to join me?"

He climbed the tree sitting on the same branch. Dark Shadow shot out of his stomach cuddling into my shoulder, " hey there" "sorry he won't listen to me" I giggle petting the shadow bird smiling down at it, " it's fine" I cupped the shadows non-existent cheeks babying it, " I have a feeling you came here for the same reason as me" I answered he nods getting Dark Shadow back in his stomach, "I have to stay calm when I fight" I smile agreeing with his words. "if you lay down and breath deeply it should do the trick" he scratches the back of his neck muttering something, "im sorry what?", " I said can I lay down on you?" I shrug letting my feet dangle off the tree branch. I rested my side on the tree as Fumi-kun laid his head on my lap, I played with his feathers getting a shiver every once in a while. We hear the horn go off signifying it was time for the fight, " Fumi-kun..." I tapped his forehead getting my hand swiped away. I tapped his beak getting the same result, " come on sleeping beauty" he groans throwing an arm behind his head his eyes furrowed feeling around him. His hand pats my lap going up, it touches the curve of my hip gasping he got up quickly falling backwards, " Fumi-kun!! Are you okay?!" he laid on the ground giving me a thumbs up. I sigh jumping off next to Fumi-kun. I lend him my hand pulling him up, " thanks, let's go before they think we're missing" I nod walking beside him we reach our seating section taking our seats.

I sat next to Kaminari cheering for Midoriya I grinned watching him step out. I gasped just remembering something, " something wrong Bakugo-chan?", " No, nothing's wrong, just remembered I have to take my hourly water drink" I got up running to the break room just as I turned the corner I bumped into a broad body, "sorry" "its okay, you're that Bakugo kid" I look up I inhale sharply noticing its Endeavor, " yeah why--", "whats your Quirk?" 'huh?' I tilted my head scratching my neck." its copy. But why--", " it works differently than others doesn't it?" I nod slowly stepping back, " mhm I can store it in my body and erase it if I don't need it anymore" 'why the hell am I telling him my Quirk??'  he smirks walking away without a word, " okay then"

I waited for my turn cracking my fingers I bounced in place hearing my name, " he is so going to lose" I grinned walking up to the large podium, " And from the Hero Course Bakugo (Y/n), has absolute no background except being homeschooled her whole life!!" 'WHAT THE HELL PRESENT MIC!!!!' "before we start I'd like to say something. Bakugo ready for my surprised?! Here it is!!" a T.V. slide out turning on showing a title "Randomizer". Midnight walked up to me with a red button, " Bakugo with this red button you can randomly choose your quirk and use it only!! Won't that be fun!!" "are you seriously limiting me?!?!" I could tell he was proud of it and giving in. I watched it spin rapidly until I press the button stoping on "Animal Imitation!!"

"Ready! Start!" I sighed getting ready to transform," forgive me when I win" he shot his laser straight at me as I jumped over it. I landed transforming into a giant white Spinosaurus. I lowered my head roaring loudly at his face, " oh dear!!!" he fainted tears pouring out of his eyes. I changed back sighing, "I should have gone with a raptor" "Bakugo (Y/n) continues to the second round" I bowed at the fainted student walking up the stands," Bakugo-chan!! That was amazing!!" I looked up at the stands Uraraka waving her hands around in excitement.
