33. On My Own

Does anyone else know this song???

I tap the cement ground waiting to hear my name to be called. I pull on the sleeves of my sweater looking at my delicate hands.

Small scars littering around my palms and almost completely gone scratches. "Ready, go!" My eyes widen as the large gate opens letting me in. It was strange in a matter, in fact, there was only a gaping hole with stairs leading down to who knows where.

"underground, huh? So much for fairness"

I take my first steps in and so far not so bad though it is dimly lit I wouldn't say it's gone bad yet. The walls were completely made out of cement with a few narrow and wide hallways.

My stomach began to groan making me pause. I place my hand on my stomach thinking deeply about what I ate. A feeling of discomfort washed over me as my stomach continues to groan.

I cup my hand over my mouth becoming heavily sick I lean on the cement walls for support but falling in the end. And that's when it happened. I threw up.

But the thing is, it was white. Not clear white. White white and it had a peculiar fluffy texture.

'what the hell did I eat?!?!'

It began to twitch startling me as it slowly forms into... Something. I covered my eyes as a bright light came out of it lighting up the once dim room to a bright glow.

A small yipping sound surprises me along with a small wet tongue licking my hand. I uncover my eyes finding a white fox standing before me where I threw up, "this is weird...I'm sure I didn't get a quirk that requires throw up and I get a tiny fox"

It yips again starting to walk off," Um okay then?" I get up deciding it would be best to follow the tiny fox. I take a closer look on the fox as it walks in front of my sniffing the ground. Its main coat being white covered in blue swirls, tiny feet, four tails, and a small necklace around its neck.

It stops turning to look at me then to the ground. I tilt my head in confusion as it huffs a heavy breath against the ground. Large blue footsteps lead a trail turning a corner," ah, I suppose that lurching stomach pain was worth it" I pat its head getting a sassy head turn then a huff. The fox's ears twitch pointing at a direction sniffing the air.

"What is it?"

The fox sits down slowly descending to white sparkles."There you are and what's with the footprints are they mines?" Endeavor stomps around the corner smirking down at me. I noticed the metal bracelets on his wrists and the base of his ankles.

" Uuuhh...no?"

He gets ready to fight as he lifts his arms, "don't take this personal" his fire shot straight towards me as I barely dodge I think of the tendril quirk climbing up the walls.

Endeavor charges at me I shot two tendrils at him catching one arm but that was enough. With all my strength taking a few spins I fling him down the hall far enough for me to run.

At the end of the hallway, there was a split and the footsteps have disappeared at that point. I think of the Neko quirk sniffing the air, hoping to sniff out fresh air or something earthy.

Nothing.

I couldn't smell anything.

I began to panic thinking about the time limit. 'I probably don't have that much time...crap at this rate I can only hope to find the goal or cuff Endeavor'

I rolled up my sleeves feeling the ground sensing any vibrations the giant hero might be. He was a couple of halls away from my position so I have a good two minutes to think of a plan.

I take out the cuffs I examine them slipping them on. I take a deep breath preparing for the pain, tendrils shot out of my back hanging myself upside down on the ceiling.

Crawling on the ceiling I line myself over the large man getting ready to cuff him. Just as I was about to drop he spins shooting fire at me. I bounce on the walls dodging as much as I can avoiding the tremendous heat.

"Cuffing me won't be that easy, sweetheart"

"Please don't call me that"

I stay low to the ground thinking quick I try tackling him but was flipped and slammed into the concrete floor. The ground cracked under me leaving me dazed and dusty," I figured you would have learned how to fight properly. Or did you not learn at all from your internship?"

I cough spitting out blood I give a small chuckle getting up. Standing right before him I raise my leg kicking his side strongly to the wall beside him. The wall cracks open with him in a pile of rocks on the other side. I grab the cuffs getting ready for my next move I spring out giant wings.

Watching Endeavor get up, he went through the wall staring at me with pure rage. Heat once again consumed the hall igniting the hall with fire. I flap my wings strongly creating a path to him along with trying to stay cool from the extreme heat.

Running towards him at full speed I jump, using both legs I kicked him back into the wall falling on his back. Just like how someone taught me before I cuffed his arm and leg in an awkward position. The alarm rang signifying the test was over. The speaker declares I passed and ends the test. I felt tears roll down my eyes as I drop to my knees smiling that it was finally over and I passed.

Endeavor groans trying to rub his head but realized his right hand was cuffed to his left leg, "why the hell did you cuff my hand and leg together?!"

"Because what suspect would try to escape with their hand cuffed to their leg? That's what Kamui Woods taught me during the internship."

"Not bad you could do better but I accept this defeat if you agree to join my agency"

I wipe away the tears dusting my sweater from the dirt. I shrugged getting a dissatisfied grunt from Endeavor, "I'll have to think about it, please don't pressure me to make a choice"

He nods unlocking the cuffs he stands up cracking his back," to be honest that hurt, being forced through a concrete wall"

"Sorry, it was the only thing I could think of. With such little time, I can't think rationally"

We make our way to the front Izuku congratulates me along with everyone else, "I think you did excellent work on your test Bakugo" Endeavor nods a goodbye leaving me with my classmates and a nonstop talking Izuku.

I felt something grab my hand tugging it. I look down finding the Principal there with a smile, " you did fantastic Bakugo-san! It's a good thing we record the tests"

I thank the Principal ready to ask him something but was cut off, "we apologize for removing the exit pass. I was sure you were able to cuff Endeavor and close to the end you managed to cuff him"

"EHHH!?!?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!? I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU'LL MAKE IT EASY FOR ME BECAUSE I WAS ALONE!!"

" Oh Bakugo-san did you really think we were going to go easy on you because you were alone? Life isn't fair good student remember that"

He strolls away as I shake in my boots, "I could have failed you weasel!!"
