19. Sports Festival!!!

I sat on my bed reading the new letter, it made my heart flutter at its loving words.

Dearest (Y/n),
At this point, you must already know how I feel. How you make my heartbeat race in my chest. Your gorgeous eyes cage me in like a bird. Yet I feel like a free bird flying freely, your soft looking lips make me want to kiss them and never stop. I bet they even taste like sweet intoxicating candy. The way you walk by me without knowing it's me is rather sad, but I'm happy that way.

I love how you walk it's cute yet eye-catching you might want to be careful dear. You're carefree yet determine to become a hero and it encourages me every day to do good things. I love you. I truly do and I wish you can say the same dearest.

"oh my God I love you too secret person!!!" I hugged the neatly written paper on my chest blushing madly, " time to join the others" I pull out a shoe box from under my bed folding the paper putting it back in its envelope and in the box filled with love letters from the same person, " time for bed"

{Next Day}

Within two weeks the Sports Festival begins and I plan on training to get to the finals, " Tobi! Come on boy let's go to the park" I pull out a leash from the dresser waiting for Tobi. Instead, Sock ran up to me meowing rather loudly for a kitten,"did Tobi lock himself in his cage again?" he meows leading the way and there he was trapped in his cage still smiling with his tongue out." how do you always lock yourself in your cage, Tobi?" I opened the cage as the large dog ran out of it running to the door. I laughed quietly going to the door I clipped on the leash opening the door, "Mom I'm going to the park! Be back in a couple hours!!"

And that's how I spent my two weeks of training. Going to the park run around the area, broke down a couple trees but quickly regrow before the park security came by, and even meditate to keep a calm mind. The days went by as a blur everything I did up until now I will do my best in the Sports Festival and beat Katsuki.

{Night before}

"(Y/n) can I-what are you doing?" I kept my eyes closed concentrating on not falling forward, " what does it look like I'm doing?" I answered not bothering to open my eyes already knowing who it is. I took a deep breath strengthening my stomach, " okay then, you kids get weirder and weirder. I came up here to ask you if you have any scissors?" I nod pointing at my bag with my foot, " it should be in the small pocket on the side" I hear thanks from mom as she closed the door behind her. I sighed starting to become dizzy, " that's enough for today, got to get up bright and early tomorrow"

{{Next Day}}

I sat in the corner of the table flipping pages of my Quirk book thinking over strategies for the future battles. Hopefully, they don't notice it in my hands because it took a lot of brain power to remember all the Quirks I copied. "Everyone, are you ready? We will be entering soon!" Iida opened the door with a serious face. I cracked my neck smirking I got up pushing in my chair, 'though my heart is beating rapidly I can't wait to put up a show for everyone to watch'

Hearing our introduction we stepped into the field the roar of the people caught us off guard, " oo~ uh guys this may be a bad time but uh I need to use the bathroom" Iida ran up to me scolding me about bad timing waving his arms dramatically, " I was just kidding...maybe"

"Time for the player pledge!" I stare at the R-rated hero feeling slight embarrassment, "Representing this year is the student Katsuki Bakugo from Class 1-A!" my eye twitched watching Katsuki walk up to the mic. Everyone stayed quiet waiting for his pledge, " I pledge-- That I'll be number one." 'I knew he would say that!!' everyone booed his shouting curse words, " Katsuki!!!" a tendril grew out of my back grabbing Katsuki pulling him into the class crowd. "you're an idiot do you want everyone to hate you?!" I held him above me slowly putting him down, " it doesn't matter if everyone hates me you dumbass. I only care if one does" I unwrapped my tendril making it disappear he walked to the other side, not before bumping shoulders with me, " you better get to the finals" he retorted.

"Now let's get started right away. The first game is what you'd call a qualifier! This year's first game is...Obstacle Race!!" I tilted my head tying up my hair.

"All 11 classes will participate in this race. The course will be the outer circumference of this stadium--about four kilometers. Our school's selling point is freedom. As long as you stay on the course, it doesn't matter what you do! Now take your place!" we all walked over to the gate waiting for the signal. I skimmed through the book hearing the signal 'First Quirk: Tendrils' I shoot out two jumping over the people that crowded the hall. A huge ice explosion happened below me before I touched the ground I formed wings flying high, "so naive" 'better watch my limits, can't believe my body is now refusing to use a Quirk twice in one day' I started to go down running right behind Todoroki he turned around catching my eye, " this is fun isn't it?" I smiled at him he blushed suddenly running faster.

A giant silhouette caught my attention, " what the?...the faux villains from the entrance exam?" I stopped looking up at the robots. I huffed clenching my book I watch Todoroki freeze the robot, I run behind him spending no time. It suddenly became dark I glance up slowing down, "oh crap" I quickly crystallize, I held my breath feeling the weight fall around me. I growled punching my way out, " THAT BASTARD!!!" "Bakugo-chan?! You were there too?!" Kirishima shouts behind me 'guess he had the same idea' "dont talk to me right now!!!" I shouted slamming my hand on the robot denting it, " he is so going down"

I whispered jumping out of the robot I forced my wings out wincing at the pain but made it over the robot. I landed rolling on the ground jumping forward I sprint opening my book, " what to use next?" the next course was the falls--er something. I sneered forming ice at the bottom of my feet."Thanks, Todo-kun" I balance my feet on the rope looking down, 'quiet the fall isn't it?' I nervously laughed jumping onto the stone platform, " a couple more" I turn back some people already caught up. I notice Katsuki flying in the air grinning, 'that's not good' he sees me smirking he drops bouncing back up into the air. And in those few seconds, he looked at me dead in the eye doing his stupid smirk. "I am not going to lose"
