35. Wait...What?!

"What do you mean you can't come to the pool with us?!" Mina whines clenching her hands close to her body.

"I would come if I could but I need to go to the doctors for a check-up"

"We can cancel and re-date it if you want?"

"No, it's fine you guys have fun, okay?"

All the girl's nod asking each other about what they'll need for the pool. I packed my stuff starting to head out. I pull out my phone texting Katsuki that I'm heading home without him.

Walking out of the building I clench my bag on my shoulder watching all the other students walk home. I feel a twitch on my neck giving me a weird feeling.

'I should hurry home so I can rest my head hurts'

Instead of walking like I usually do I teleport home just so I can lay down in peace, "Oh Sweetie, you're home early are you feeling better from last time?"

Dad places his hand on my forehead he hisses at the heat pulling his hand back. I groan on the couch holding my stomach," ugh everything hurts!"

"Okay you know what we are not waiting for tomorrow we're going to the hospital right now"

"Hospital?! But I'm not in that much pain dad-mph!"

I cover my hand over my mouth spilling some "Throw up" on the floor. It was the same fluffy texture as before but this time it was a tinted blue and black color.

Nothing formed from it, worrying me that I'll probably never see the sassy fox again."Alright go upstairs change and get in the car"

"What about this?"

I pick up the fluffy ball disgusting my dad. He shoos it away from it telling me to put it in a bag." why?"

"So they can analyze it and see if that's the main cause of your illness"

"Okay... I just realized I thought today was yours and mom's day off, what happened?"

"She got called into work, but that's fine your dad here will save you, my little hero!"

I chuckle watching my dad pose in front of me smiling happily at me. I put the fluff in the bag and run upstairs to change into comfy clothes.

After changing I came back down to the living room where Dad grabbed my hand and dragged me to the car in the garage, "Dad I think you're overreacting just a little"

His hands were trembling on the wheel as he just mumbles words to himself. I sigh just letting him do whatever as he speeds off to the Hospital.

"Bakugo (Y/n)..."

I get up hearing my name and followed behind a woman as she leads me to the examination room. She leaves me in the empty room saying the doctor will be with me shortly.

Dad thanks the lady taking a seat on the chair that was available for him. I glance around the room finding simply doctor stuff and a poster of "Just monkeying around" on the wall next to the patient's bed.

I held my bag close to me taking a seat on the bed. An old man walks in with a clipboard saying the typical sentences, "Hi my name is Doctor Swan and I'll be your doctor today, so what's the spaz about?"

"My daughter has been having excruciating pain in her stomach and she's been throwing up these fluffy balls. My daughter has a Neko Quirk but I don't think that it's part of it"

The doctor hums writing it down on his clipboard asking other questions. Like how long, what was the last thing I ate before this incident, do I take medication, etc.

"I have a nurse who has an X-ray Quirk if you don't mind her going through a body check?"

I shake my head as he calls for the nurse. She strolls in with goggles covering her eyes and a tube connected to her head to her back. "You are Bakugo-chan, correct?"

I nodded sitting up straight, "I will need you to stand and your Father to leave the room" The nurse turns to dad who was still freaking out over me. He waddles out with the old doctor pushing him out with all his strength.

"Now then let's see the problem...oh dear"

"What? What is it?"

"Doctor!"

The nurse runs out calling for the doctor as I just stand there dumbfounded. The doctor runs in with a terrified yet excited facial expression. Dad runs in grabbing my hand dragging me out, "Wait! What happened? Dad what about the medication that I'll need-"

"There is no medication for your condition!.... I'm sorry for yelling. Forgot this happened."

"But dad I don't even know what happened"

"It's better that way-"

"No, tell me. Why did you drag me out and then tell me to forget what happened? Dad I don't want to do this but I will use my mind read Quirk on you"

"...Fine but in the house sweetie there are too many people around to witness"

We get home finding Mom and Kasich still not home and that made dad sigh with relief. We sat on the couch facing each other without saying a word. Dad takes a deep breath closing his eyes for a few seconds then looking up at me, "Sweetie you remember great grandpa, right?"

"Yeah...kinda he died when Katsuki and I were born..why?"

"Before he passed away he...he had this quirk to control spirits...but his quirk worked in two ways"

"what do you mean and what does this have to do with my situation right now?"

"If I'm correct, the day we announced we were having you two he placed his hand on your mother's stomach saying Latin words"

"Dad... What did he do?"

"I'm guessing those Latin words transferred his Quirk into you... His Quirk is highly dangerous and I don't understand why he did it. But just know this, whatever happens, don't let the dark spirits consume you"

He grabs my shoulders shaking me around telling me to promise him. "I promise! Dad calm down!"

He takes a deep breath apologizing after. He stands up clapping his hands, "If you have questions about this please ask me"

"So in a way, I have two Quirks now?"

"It appears so...you can't tell your mom not even Katsuki"

"Why wouldn't it just be easier to tell them about this instead of--"

"You can't! If you care about their safety then you will listen to me and stay quiet. Sweetie, I'm only telling you to do this because I worry about your safety and others as well. Don't tell them"

"I promise"
