42. Why

I soaked Izuku's shirt with happy tears confusing the broccoli head, " I feel like you're more ecstatic at the fact that you finally have a partner than it being me"

"I can't help it! The only partner I've had throughout this whole thing was Fumi-kun and that's on the bus!"

Izuku laughs patting my head to the best he can. I was so caught up at the thought of having a partner that I almost didn't hear Katsuki demanding to switch with Izuku, " If you wanted Izuku to be your partner that bad then I'm okay with being with Todoroki-kun"

Katsuki shouts at me to die trying to pry me off of Izuku, "Leave me alone you Toilet Brush! I finally have a partner and I'm not letting you ruin it! So fuck off!"

I kicked Katsuki in the stomach dragging Izuku away. One by one the pairs went in every three minutes. I bounced on my toes moving my hands up and down facing Izuku, "I'm pumped! Are you pumped Izuku-kun?!"

"I-I guess...it sounds scary in there though with all the constant screams"

"It's okay we'll be fine we can hold hands throughout the walk!"

I offered my hand he nods lacing it with mines as we neared the entrance. Uraraka and Tsu-chan walked in slowly before disappearing into the dark. Just as the next pair was about to go in the air suddenly smelt odd. "Hey, Izuku-kun do you smell that?"

He nods pointing towards the trees black smoke rose from them growing larger, "You think Todoroki might've used his Quirk?"

"I'm pretty sure he could've frozen it if he did"

He shrugs staring into the trees, I did the same inching closer to Izuku. I just hope this won't ruin my chance of having a partner, "Wh-What is this?!"

We turned around seeing Pixie-Bob glow red flying backwards to a pole thing knocking her unconscious. I gasped at what stops in front of us, "Villians...but why? How did they know we were here?!"

Two villains stood above Pixie-Bob smirking towards us. Izuku let's go of my hand about to attack but was stopped by Mandalay. She lets out an 'Oh no' flexing her claws. It took me a second to know why she said that. Izuku looks at me whispering Kota.

My stomach drops at the mention of Kota. Is he seriously outside while this is happening?! I had a feeling he would be near the area where we last talked but from what I remembered it was just a trail down to the forest. He can be anywhere now that I think about it. I just hope the butterfly I gave him is still on him, at least then that'll give him time to be found.

"I know where Kota is!"

Izuku shouts at Mandalay she nods facing the villains, "All of you head back to the building and make sure to protect each other!"

"We have to find Kota, Izuku"

"I know we have to act fast on this, come on!"

I nod following Izuku through the forest the others went off to the building telling us to be safe, "Where can he be Izuku-kun?!"

"He's most likely in his secret hideout! That's where I last saw him to give him his food!"

We came to a clearing stopping abruptly. A villain stood before us smirking, I looked up at the cliff seeing Kota backing away from a giant villain. "Izuku I'm going to toss you up the cliff save Kota I'll be fine!"

"What?! (Y/n)-chan I can't leave you here alone!"

"I said I'll be fine now watch your head!!"

I wrapped Izuku with my tendril shooting him up the cliff catching Kota before getting squashed, "Quite the Heroine you are, toots"

"All in the days work I guess"

I took a couple of steps back avoiding the man from getting closer. His hands lit up in blue flames tossing them at me. I dodged the flames burning my sweater just a bit, "Damn I missed"

I smacked my hands against the ground creating a semi earthquake throwing the guy off balance. Using what's natural around me I drained the plants of water forming ice around the guy. His flames melted the ice as expected I smirked freezing the water that was on him causing him to slow down.

"Heh... I guess you're as smart as you seem. But you're probably not as fast as I am!"

He shrugs off the frost running towards me. I jumped over him biting my thumb hard enough for blood to gush out, "Probably not but I'm not as delicate as I seem"

I formed a scythe and a shield pointing at him. He chuckles going in for another attack, " You're making this more difficult than it should be, toots"

"Well I'm not one to enjoy pain, burnt bacon"

"That hurts toots and here I thought the gift I gave you was enough to show my affection~"

"Gift? Wait that was you?!--OI! Get your hands off of me!!"

I fell back dropping my weapon and shield he climbs on top of me holding my hands by my head."Of course, I thought you already knew since earlier you managed to catch my scent"

My eyes widened my secret lover was this guy. His hands lit up burning my wrists, I screamed in pain kicking my legs trying to get him off, "Don't cry now, here I'll give you something to really cry about"

He holds my hands with one hand while the other pulls out a shot with black liquid out of his coat pocket. I felt my body began to panic as he neared the needle to my neck. With what little miracle chance I had with me I pulled my hand out smacking the needle far away. I hardened my arm punching his face with everything I had off of me.

I got up going to the needle stomping on it letting the liquid spill out, "This is the last time I accept random gifts, was it also you who gave me the letters?!"

"Letters? If I say yes will you fall for me?

"Hell.no!"

"Eventually you will toots"

I healed my wrists trying to think of a plan as he was running towards me. I dodge a few of his attacks losing my hat in the process. 'Damn it this guy won't let up, think what would Katsuki do?! What would Izuku do?!' My stomach began to churn being all too familiar to the rising feeling.

I hid behind a tree as blue flames burst around me. I let out the fluff hoping for it to be something big like last time. Instead, it was the fox I deadpanned at the tiny creature ready to pull out my hairs, "A dragon would've been more helpful, tiny fox!"
