Matthew’s POV

“Good morning sleepy head! Rise and shine!” Anu ba namang tyanak to? Anung oras pa lang ba? Feeling ko kakatulog ko lang ah. Gago kasing Vince yon, nagyaya pang mag-inom.

“Mateo! Yoohoo!  You get up na, we have lots of things to do!”

“Kulit please. I want to sleep so let me be! Stop banging the goddamned door!” Sigaw ko.

“Mom, Mateo’s cursing again! You have to get up na! Mom and Dad will be leaving to Singapore today!”

“Fine. Fine! Langya talaga!”

“Very well then, open the door na.” See?

“I am officially awake Margaux. Satisfied?”

“Not yet. Fix yourself na. You’ll drive Mom and Dad to the airport then we’ll drop by at the mall. I have lots of things to buy, ikaw din, classes will start next week. I have to buy clothes and dresses, I can’t wear same clothes twice in one semester noh. Tsaka I’ll buy na din some school supplies.”

“Okay. Maliligo na ako. You better leave.”

“Ay no. I’ll wait. Baka mamaya matulog ka ulit eh.” Naman talaga!

“I won’t. Gising na gising na ako. Get out.”

“No-“

“GET. OUT.” Nanggigil na talaga ako.

“Okay. I’ll leave na. Chill.”

I grew up to my yaya and driver, maswerte pa nga si Margaux kasi atleast, andon na ako habang lumalaki siya. When I left, she’s old enough to live by herself. We’re actually very close, kahit pa lagi kaming nag-babangayan mas marami din naman ang napagkakasunduan namin.  After having lunch, dumerecho na kami ng department store—as per Margaux’s request.

“Aren’t you going to buy yourself some new clothes? Magpapasukan na next week ah.” What’s with the opening of classes that have to do with buying new clothes?

“I don’t have to buy new clothes, lalaki ako kulit, I can wear different pants everyday and others won’t even notice. Besides, I stayed in the US for 4 years, do you really think kasya pa sakin yung mga damit na naiwan ko dito 4 years ago? Of course, dala ko yung mga damit ko from US.”

“Exactly my point. Dalawang malalaking maleta lang ang dala mo pag-uwi dito noh.” I don’t get it. Whatever. Walang sense makipag-talo dito.

“Kulit, please shut up and just do your shopping. I don’t even understand why you have to shop for yourself when you can hire a personal shopper. Nagpapagod ka lang.”

“Hay Mateo, no wonder your girlfriends leave you. Ladies love shopping. Okay?”

“Exactly, LADIES. And you, my sister is not yet a lady. You’re still a kid.” Ayun, sumimangot nanaman. Haha. Pikon.
