ENJOY!
HARU
The way to home was a quiet one.
He strangled me.
Haru kept repeating the words in her head. She wanted to just slam her head on the side window where she sat. The feeling of numbness consumed her. There was no fear, or sadness suffocating her, only disappointment.
He strangled me.
If sold her off to a gangster wasn't enough, if disappeared every time when her fees were due weren't enough, if went to borrow money and never gave his children the proper needs for school weren't enough, if calling, hitting mom and her siblings weren't enough, he strangled her.
He strangled me. He strangled me. He strangled me.
She finally knocked her head on the window. It didn't hurt. But the sound was loud, it almost made Kevin jumped while driving.
Hunter's warmth suddenly came through her. He pulled her until he gestured her to sit on his thighs. She did, and he cradled her. One arm snaked around her waist and the other around the shoulders. Haru's hand scratching softly on his shirt, her face dug near his throat, feeling his warm breaths. He smelled like roses and oranges. She wondered what he ate before coming to see the scene where she was almost died...again.
"I'm sorry that you saw that." She managed to muffle. Haru kept on begging for him to bring her home. So much of bad memories surrounded the Walt family house. She couldn't breathe. Her mom and grandma gladly let her go without any comments, her siblings too. She missed him, and them being alone in the penthouse. It was true she missed his body too.
"I'll kill him if he even thought of coming near you again." It came out as a growl, anger. Hunter was angry for her when Haru wasn't. Wallace Walt was the catalyst of their relationship, after all. Without their fathers' deal, they wouldn't happen. Without the deal, Haru would never meet Hunter. Although both upbringings were different, yet they were so similar. At least both of their feelings. Without Wallace Walt, Haru would never meet her first love.
She looked up to stared at Hunter. His handsome boyish face, his obsession with being preppy, his beautiful blue eyes. To be in the position where she felt safe was still new to her. She never felt this whole and loved before him. Haru started to cry again. Hunter cradled her tighter.
The last time she cried tonight was when Elsa and Hillary dragged her upstairs, not wanting to see Hunter hurt Wallace. For hours, she was quiet and lost. Even when they were kissing madly in her room, and he gave her a present, she just wanted to go home. To forget it for just one night.
She wanted to leave, and be alone with him so she could forget for a while how it felt like to be hurt by the first man in her life who was meant to love her.
She cried harder with that thought.

When they finally went inside, she hugged him from behind. Her fingers locked together and her head rested on his back.
She huffed."I want you to make me forget about what happened." Haru barely breathed from her crying. Her nose stuck and her face sticky. She hated the feeling of defeat. She had felt like she was always alone when it happened. Her siblings had their own ways to coup and hers was staring at the window until she felt okay again.
