[A/N] This chapter was initially 7000 words long but then it's now 5000+??? I was so confused on how I cut it to that.
There are smuts in this, so be mindful but I wrote it to not be specific because it would be erotica at that point.
Enjoy! The last chapter will be coming soon!~
HUNTER
Everyone around him was wearing either a pirate costume or just an eyepatch. His mouth agape on the way that people were excited about the movie despite Haru complained to him early during dinner that a lot of readers agreed that the movie was a bad adaptation. Haru, however, was down. She leaned her head on his arm as they waited in the line to buy popcorn.
"You should've not watched the review." Hunter patted her head. Unlike people around them, Haru only wore her fandom shirt with a quote; To Love The Moon You Must Venture the Stars; which didn't make sense but anyway, not his place to judge. He had seen his mama this emotional over a soap opera and basically starved him by only making him eat cookies for a week.
"Set number one, please." Haru ordered and then dug into her sling bag. "I should pay." Hunter offered and dug his back pocket for his wallet. "No, no." She declined as she showed her purse to him, already took out hers as his hand grabbed his wallet inside his pocket. "I requested for the date, I'll pay. You cooked me dinner just now, it's already enough."
"It's 13 dollars and 45 cents."
"Oh!" The cashier busy pressing on the screen while Haru flipped her purse wide to find coins. Hunter briskly saw pictures on a card slot where usually put your ID in. He recognized the pictures of them, in a photobooth years ago. He had kept the other half somewhere in his apartment, avoided remembering her in the process.
"Here." Haru gave her his Coke and Hunter volunteered to hold their popcorn, ultimately snapped him back the to reality; that she was in front of him and he was with her right now; on a movie date.
He hoped that the movie they were about to watch sucks and he would brave enough to kiss her before the night ends.
---------
Jesus answered him.
The movie sucks balls, Haru stated. "Luke is not white and him being a pirate, would not make him pale and his has brown and dark hair, no blonde and good looking!" She was not the only one who was disappointed, a lot of the people who were obviously read the book walked out from the cinema slouching and with a frown.
Hers, however, was amusing to him. "You admit he's good looking." Hunter agreed with that, the actor was handsome, he was some kind of a big deal in Hollywood right now, he saw him everywhere throughout the year.
"Yeah but he's not Luke Valas!" she exclaimed and made him laugh. She was never this zestful before. This was their first date in a long time, he was nervous at first that he spent almost an hour deciding what to wear. It was still cold outside despite it was a week into Spring.
Hunter insisted on cooking for her before they went to catch the movie. Roger made a big deal about it because it was Hunter's day off and he still in the kitchen to cook, also eyeing his employees. Hunter tried not to cook Russian food and flipped burgers instead. It was like eating in a diner but instead of that, it was in a fancy Russian cuisine restaurant.
She enthusiastically still criticized the movie and he was still smiling as both of them strolled to her car to go home. It was late and Haru has worked the next day despite it was Sunday.
