In which there's some painful affection.

"Hey guys," Chan grinned and cutely waved at his two friends before turning back to the desk. "Were you working on something?"

"Yeah, just another song," Changbin nodded his head, giving a significant look at the boy next to him before he looked at Mirae with a small smile. "Hey, Mirae."

"Hello, hello," she waved as she left the sheet on the table.

Awkward...

"So what brings you here?" Changbin asked after a long silence. "I thought you weren't coming today, hyung."

"I wasn't," Chan agreed as he moved more papers around. By that moment Mirae was shooting daggers at his back, mentally urging him to find the freaking book so she could leave the highly uncomfortable atmosphere. "But I came here looking for my notebook so I can continue that song we started yesterday."

"The one you promised we'd all be working on together?" Jisung cocked his eyebrow.

"It's just that I always get ideas in the middle of the night!"

"You can't work on it without us, hyung!" Changbin frowned, going to the older and trying to stop him from finding his notebook. "You promised!"

"But I have good ideas!"

"Write them on napkins and save them for another day, I don't care. Just don't work on it when you promised you wouldn't!"

"Fine, fine!" Chan yelled and Changbin stopped is nagging. He gave Mirae a quick look before smirking, "Oh, speaking of songs, I found a paper earlier that might belong to you. Isn't it right, Mirae?"

It didn't go unnoticed how Jisung's body became stiff and Changbin's eyes trembled as he stared at the grinning Chan. Meanwhile Mirae just stayed quiet on the couch, hugging tightly onto the cushion as she pretended not having heard anything. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

She picked up her glasses with the most resting-bitch face she could muster and graciously walked her way to the door, where Jisung and Changbin quickly pressed themselves against the door frame so she could walk through.

Looking over her shoulder, she glared at Chan, "You better find that damn notebook or I swear I'll send my dogs to bite you."

"They love me though!"

"But they love me more."

Her steps echoed through the empty hall as she walked her way to the end of it, knowing that if she dared to walk outside the hall there was a high chance of getting lost. And asking for directions in a place full of talented people made her feel overwhelmed, almost as if she didn't deserve to even have eye contact with them.

Quite silly, but Mirae's brain didn't usually function properly after being embarrassed.

However, just as she was about to rest her back against the wall, she heard a loud "Wait!" from the room she just walked out, followed by a body being violently pushed outside the room.

Jisung almost banged his head with the opposite wall, but before Mirae could hide her shock, he quikly composed himself by pulling down his navy-blue shirt with a scoff. He mumbled something under his breath before looking up at her, his face changing into a faint smile. "Hey."

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah," he nodded repeatedly as his cheeks blushed. "Don't worry about it, I'm fine."
