The Equilibrium

Equilibrium. Google search: Noun; a state in which opposing forces or influence are balanced. Synonyms: Equipose, parity, stability.

That is where they are now. Their friendship is in total balance one again and it'll stay that way.

Well... It would... If Beca remained quiet on her secret. Why? Because of the equilibrium. The groups total equilibrium.

They said that falling in love with your best friend is one of the most romantic, most beautiful and most long lasting romance you'll ever find, even having about 79% of a happy marriage.

But... They did also said about how complicated it could be if only one fell in love, and what they didn't mention, is how fucking complicated it was to fall in love with your very beautiful, very quirky, VERY straight best friend.

No... Love is a two way street.

It was fucking hard! It was so hard that every time Beca sees her, hears her name or merely thinks of her she just had to groan, internally or outwardly, she barely cares, it was physically maddening that she just.... Aaargh!

It was a bad idea, it was a very very bad idea for her heart to just up and decide that she should fall in love with Chloe Ashlyn Beale.

Aside from the fact that Chloe was straight, it was a bad idea because it also happened before. Back at their freshman year of High School, with Aubrey and Sophia.

Which of course, shook the groups foundations, Chloe and Beca weren't sure on how to think of it at first, they were fine with LGBT, don't really mind it. But it made them a bit distant with each other before Sophia made an effort to steady the grounds again.

Chloe kept her distance though, no one really notice other than Beca. It was the brunette's thing, it was like, she was more drawn into the redhead even before she started catching feelings. She notices little things; How the redhead tilts her neck when she's trying to understand something; How she'd let the tip of her tongue out when she's focused; how she'd click her pen continually when she's trying to think clearly. Beca most definitely noticed, when she doesn't get too closed to Aubrey or Sophia when they hang out, always keeping her distance, always near Beca, yet she treats them the same way she did as before. It confuses Beca.

Chloe clearly wasn't a homophobe... Not the ones she sees on TV or reads in her I.G feed anyways, maybe Chloe was the definition of the homophobe, totally afraid of homosexuality.

Or maybe not, Beca doesn't know, because she doesn't talk about it. She doesn't talk about sexuality or anything so close to talking about relationship, because between the four of them? Beca was the ultimate virgin card. No boyfriend/ Girlfriend since birth.

The thoughts of having one scares her and makes her long for one at the same time. Beca was single not because she was unattractive, in fact, every year, Beca could say that she had quiet an amount of suitors that varied in gender, because Beca didn't exactly look the part of a... straight person.

She didn't really like any of them either way. Nothing that drawned Beca to any of them. Even talking to them didn't seem to feel right. Beca realized the first day of senior year, when Chloe was on her lap in Sophia's car, that the reason she was still single, was because she likes likes Chloe... And because she's super gay.

So no... they don't talk about it. They most definitely don't talk about anything that's revealing in school. In school where they all go their separate ways to their own group of friends in there. It was there in school that everybody changes personality.
