Looking at herself in the mirror, Beca tried to calm down. Adjusting her leather jacket over her v-neck long sleeve shirt that had the deathly hallows symbol in the middle, looking down at her boots, she adjusted then ends of her skinny jeans to make it look less unfashionable
"Okay, here..." Snapping her head towards Aubrey, she found the girl walking back into the room with a necklace, a small white gold g-clef necklace.
After their lunch, Aubrey brought Beca back to her own apartment, discussing everything about what Beca could and should not wear. After texting Chloe where she was and would be before their date, Beca gave her full attention on the clothes Aubrey presented her, which were Aubrey's old clothing that she outgrew.
It seemed that Aubrey was the one who was more excited about the date rather than Beca. The brunette stood at the corner most of the time fidgetting and worrying that something might go wrong.
After so many disagreements on what tops are best for what bottoms, the right kind of shoes and if Beca should keep her hair down or tie it up. It went on for hours until they decided -finally- on jeans and the long sleeve shirt, to which Beca conceeded as long as she get to wear boots, which Aubrey agreed to and proceeded to give her a pair of black Chelsea boots and a black boater hat, wearing it with her hair down.
After Aubrey clasped the necklace secure on Beca's neck, she stood back and stared at the girl, smiling as she did so. Beca's make-up was light and highlighted most of her natural beauty.
Catching the time at the clock, Aubrey gasped,"Go and drink a glass of water, Chloe's gonna be here any mome-" A knock on the door made Aubrey jump,"That's them! Go! Go! Go!"
"Why do I have to get water?" Beca grumbled but felt nervous as Aubrey ushered her out the bedroom to the kitchen.
"To calm your nerves, because God forbid you Mitchell's likes to run away from stuff when you get agitated," Aubrey said this as she made her way to the front door.
To which Beca merely shrug, because that was partly true.
She listened intently as Aubrey greeted Chloe and Sophie at the door. Feeling her heart's pace quicken when Chloe asked Aubrey where she went, Beca got the glass of water Aubrey demanded she take.
When she gulped down the last drop, she almost also dropped the glass when a high pitch squeal resounded in the kitchen.
"You look so pretty I wanna punch you." Sophie said this with so much enthusiasm Beca doesn't know if she was kidding.
A chuckle from around the corner told Beca that Chloe was approaching and a moment later, the ginger was behind Sophie -who was still bouncing with excitement- smiling.
"That's just her new way of saying things," Looking up, Chloe paused for a moment when she saw Beca.
Standing there by the kitchen counter, lips red and glossy, cheeks flushed and hair soft and beautiful on Beca's shoulder, Chloe couldn't look away. It was a simple look, something Beca wears every day, but the today, she was wearing clothes in a mucb lighter color.
"You best go now..." Aubrey's disembodied voice came from the living room,"Don't waste the night just staring at each other."
And they were, Sophie had long left after Chloe apologized for the kid's wording. Beca was stuck thinking how adorable Chloe looked in her yellow fluffy sweater that had the quote 'Big momma' on it, her tan legs clad in white jeans and feet in white converse.
They were both enthralled with how the other look and Beca felt herself grow redder at being caught by Aubrey while all Chloe did was laugh and wink her way.
