Chapter 34:
Bless my Bleeding Heart

Does it sometimes feel like you've been hit by a train?

That you've drunk gasoline and you've set your insides ablazed?

That you're head had been performed brain surgery on without anesthesia?

Because Chloe feels like that right now... Or at least she thinks that's how it feels as she left the warmth of her blanket, muscles sore from lying on the couch for too long, and rushed to the bathroom where she puke out whatever the fuck she ate last night.

... or lack thereof.

God she hated hangovers.

She loves getting drunk.

But hated hangovers.

As she decided that the toilet was now her only friend, Aubrey walked around the corner and abruptly stopped at the sight of her friend.

"She's in the bathroon!" The blonde woman yelled into the direction of the kitchen, crossing her arms as she looked down at Chloe who winced.

"Loud..." The girl croaked, mouth too dry and throat too scratchy to even say a word properly, and loudly.

Aubrey, either not hearing her complaint or out of spite, once again yelled at the person who was in the kitchen that Chloe looked dead.

"Bree." The redhead tried to whine, but felt the headache like the ceiling fell on her.

"Great to see that you now regret your decision on getting drunk and leaving your daughter and your new girlfriend to fend for themselves in the presence of your psycho mother and your sociopathic husband." Aubrey scolded as she took pity and kneeled beside Chloe, cleaning the outside of Chloe's mouth.

"Leave me in my misery." The redhead countered, too tired to argue.

"Drama queen." Aubrey muttered under her breath but Chloe heard it and grumbled in returnd,"Stand up will you?"

Chloe barely groaned out her protest and got up, with Aubrey's help. The light coming from the window blinded the redhead for a moment before her vision cleared again and found out that Beca was the one Aubrey was yelling at earlier, the brunette was cooking and making coffee.

"Glad to know that you've survived that drunk stupor." Beca greeted her, with a smile, but Chloe can't look at her as the memories of what happened yesterday bombarded her,"Though you almost got me a concussion from how fast you bolted up from the couch, my arm is still asleep." The brunette teased.

Chloe frowned and turned - slowly - to the livingroom and confirmed that there is, in fact, no blanket, so the warmth she felt earlier upon waking up was Beca.

"You're hot." Chloe blurted, and immediately flushed as Beca dropped the spatula a bit harsly on the tile counter,"I-I meant... the... uh... body heat! Body heat, too hot, not you," Chloe again choked on her words a sshe struggled to think clearly,"That's not... I mean, you're hot too, but the uh..."

"Don't hurt yourself, sweetie." Aubrey teased as she walked behind Beca and took the coffee she prepared with a smirk directed to the still blushing brunette.

Chloe groaned and let her head fall on the cool surface of the counter. Humming, she pressed her cheek on it too.

"I got what you meant, Chlo, don't overthink it." Beca chuckled and turned around to get the glass of hangover cure she had prepared earlier and placed it in front of Chloe,"This'll help your hangover."
