Did Beca ever mention that sharing a bit of her feelings to someone is the most draining thing she could ever do.

Yeah, believe it or not, it was really draining. It was like sharing your opinion. People would take it in three ways a) they'll take it kindly b) they'll ask you why and try to persuade you to change what you're feeling and c) they'll ignore it.

Chloe always took her words kindly. Sophia took her words with a lot of follow up questions and arguments. Aubrey ignored talking about feelings altogether because, like Beca, Aubrey has problems with that too.

It was a bit overwhelming to talk about her feelings, even just a fraction  of it, it makes her feel vulnerable and easy to manipulate and so she never talks about it.

She didn't say much if it to Chloe, yet she showed it in her actions and telling Chloe of the gift she'll receive that had all of what Beca knew as herself was just to much to take for her.

But what Beca saw outside the gym was something she couldn't accept too.

"I swear to God, Stacie... It was him."

Beca had pressed, leaning closely to make sure that the tall brunette was the only one who can hear her while they get through the thick crowd of students.

"Maybe you just saw someone who had the same attire as he did." Stacie tried to pursue her out of the idea, adjusting her shoulder bag as they walked.

"Stacie, he's the only guy in a freaking Elvis Presley suit and hair so gelled you'd think he's fucking hairless." The brunette gave her a disgusted look, like imagining it made her nauseated too.

Stacie gave her a look,"Are you sure its not just because you're in love with his girlfriend and you're looking for a way to break them up?"

They were in front of their lockers now, and Beca stopped abruptly after Chloe mentioned that.

She stared at her locker for a moment, hand frozen from unlocking its door, Stacie side-eyeing her from the next locker.

Beca thought about it. No. She wasn't that person. She knows she loves Chloe, very much, but... That would be to petty.

Stacie noticed her prolonged silence,"I'm sorry," Beca turned to her, the taller girl had a guilty look in her eyes as she took out her books,"I know you're not like that and even suggesting it is like... saying I don't know you at all." She hugged her book to her chest and leaned on her closed locker.

Beca shook her head and cackled,"I mean..." The brunette turned back to her locker and unlocked it as she spoke,"All I ever wanted is for her to be happy."

Her words had radiated sincerity and Stacie felt her heart swell at hearing the genuine love in Beca's voice, it made her want someone like Beca who'd love her that way too.

"We've always cursed out her boyfriends before because they're absolute assholes who doesn't care about her..." The younger woman stated, fetching her books for English Lit.,"And now she found someone who actually treats her right, makes her happy and," Beca paused, looking down,"And deserves her."

Her friend felt sorry and upset that she had to bring something untrue up.

"We're just very protective of her... Chloe, she's... She wears her heart on her sleeves, Stace." Beca stated, closing her locker and letting Stacie take the lead to their next class,"We don't want her to get hurt."

"Whatever anyone does, Bec, if they fall in love, there's always bound to be heartbreak and hurt." Stacie told her, matter-of-factly,"It's inevitable."
