Jasmine Richardson was a normal 12-year-old girl from Alberta, Canada. Soon, however, she got into the goth scene; dressing in all black and wearing garish makeup. On the internet, Jasmine used the name "runawaydevil" and her profile bio said, "welcome to my tragic end."
She became an out-of-control tween, sneaking out to go to concerts without her parents' knowledge. She also had a boyfriend who was 23 years older than her, and claimed to be a 300-year-old werewolf. When her parents discovered their daughters relationship, they grounded her and forbid Jasmine to contact him.
One night, while Jasmine's parents were asleep, she let her boyfriend into her home. He stabbed her parents to death while she murdered her 8-year-old brother. Afterwards, they tried to flee, but the police found the pair the next day and arrested them. While they were in custody, Steinke asked Jasmine to marry him via text. She accepted.
Jasmine was found guilty and sentenced to ten years in prison. Her boyfriend was given three life sentences. Since then, Jasmine has been released and expresses remorse for her crimes.
