ALISHA

"Yes, Nathaniel. She will be fine. We've done some check ups for her and everything is normal."

Narinig kong napabuntong hininga si Dad. Ibinuka ko ang aking mga mata. Nakita ko siyang napatingin sa akin and I saw someone coming out from my room. Probably a doctor.

I remained stiff. Nakita kong papalapit si Dad sa akin kaya akma akong uupo.

"How are you? Masakit pa rin ba ang ulo mo?"

Pinakiramdaman ko ang sarili ko. I don't have headaches anymore. Napatingin ako sa oras. It's already afternoon.

"Did I faint again?" tanong ko sa kaniya.

Tumango siya. "Don't exhaust yourself, sweetheart. You're also experiencing over fatigue."

"Isn't it because of my lost memories?"

Nagulat siya sa narinig. Nakita kong bumukas ang pintuan. Nakita kong si Mom iyon at si Alyzza.

"Ayos ka na? You skipped the intramurals. Sinabi ko na kay Aljur that you're not feeling well," ani Alyzza.

Tumango ako.

"Doctor Martinez told me not to force yourself with the lost memories."

Nanatili akong tahimik sa sinabi ni Dad.

"Nathaniel?!" gulat na saad ni Mom.

Napatingin ako sa kaniya. Her eyes watered.

"You are experiencing retrograde amnesia. It's been seven years since an accident happened to you." Pagpapatuloy ni Dad. Not minding my Mom's interruptions.

Nanatili akong nakikinig. My heart is weeping knowing about my condition.

"We tried putting you in a rehabilitation for recovery but you always end up fainting and experienced severe headaches that's why the doctor recommended us to let your memories go back naturally. And if you experience severe headaches, we will give you some medications for it."

So I had an accident, an amnesia, and my headaches and fainting moments aren't just fatigues.

So it means...my bestfriend knew about it.

I look at Alyzza. When our eyes met, she looked away.

"Alam ba ito ng mga kaibigan ko?" I asked in a faint sound.

Tumango si Dad sa akin. My heart suddenly hurt. Parang nagflashback sa akin ang tanong nila tuwing masakit ang ulo ko.

"I understand..."

"If I ask someone about my condition, would I truly forget fragments of my past?"

"Did you talk with Nakihiro already?" Tanong ni Ate Alyana.

"He's here?!" gulat na tanong ni Dad.

Kumabog ang dibdib ko. So, all these time, there were connections. Hindi ko lang talaga alam kung bakit. And now, it's like puzzle pieces trying to be solved.
