C H A P T E R 10

—daniel's pov—

i wake up to something shifting next to me. my eyes flutter open to find nova laying on her back, her beautiful hair sprawled out across the pillow. i smile at her and lean over her body and gently kiss her cheek. a smile appears on her face and she rolls into my arms

'good morning' i chuckle

'mhm good morning' she groans

my hands run through her soft hair, her smile grows bigger and looks up at me. i smile at her once more and kiss her.

'so what's our plan today?' she asks

'well, today we're gonna have a chill day. we can go shopping if you'd like, we can do anything you want to do' i reply leaning on one arm

'well mr. seavey, i just might have to take up your offer to go shopping. i need some clothes to wear around town when i'm on break' she says before getting up and heading to the bathroom

an hour goes by and we've finally arrived at the mall. there i follow nova to each store she visits. as she looked around, she picked up a couple items from a few stores. as we walked along a strip of stores, she spotted a beautiful dress from the window. i watch her as she sees at the dress.

'let's go check this store out' she says before motioning me to follow her

as i enter into the store, i already know most of these dresses were expensive. she bounced around the store like a little kid and looked at the various dresses. she picked up a black to grey ombré dress, the back was cut out and there was a small v cut into the front

'i love this!' she exclaims holding up the thigh length dress

'go try it on!' i say to her as she runs to change

i wait outside as she changes into the dress, i hear someone walking out so i look up from my phone and see nova

'you're gonna catch flys if you keep your mouth open for any longer' she laughs

i walk over to her as i admire her beauty, 'you look stunning'

'thank you daniel' she blushes

she walks over to the mirror and spins, she admires the colors and the way it hangs off of her body

'how much is it?' i ask approaching her

she turns to find the small price tag, she frowns and looks at me and i immediately grab the price tag. the little slip of paper read '$1,500'

'daniel's it's way too much, even being in the business i haven't gotten paid since i'm not doing any shows' she looks at the mirror once again, she picks at the dress and her eyes drop.

'hey, it's ok nova, i can pay for it. you look absolutely stunning and it would be an absolute shame to walk out of here without it' i quickly say wrapping my arms around her waist

'daniel, im not letting you do that' she protests

'im gonna pay for this dress nova' i smile at her

'daniel seavey i am not letting you spend $1,500 on me' she turns around to face me

'please nova' i beg her

'daniel' she pouts

'let me treat you' i say

'fine daniel, but next time i'm not allowing you to spend this amount of money on me' she kisses my cheek

'deal' i smile as she walks into the changing room

i meet her at the cash register and pay for her dress. as we walk out she beams at me, her hand finds mine and she smiles.

'thank you' she finally says

'anything for you' i chuckle

'ready for dinner at my parents?' i continue

'as ready as i'll ever be i guess' she replies as we head to our car

—nova's pov—

i do my makeup and brush out my hair. i our on some casual clothes and fix my appearance.

'you ready?' i hear daniel shout

'yeah i'm coming!' i shout back before grabbing my phone and purse

i run downstairs and quickly put on my vans. daniel holds the door as i walk out, i lock my door and walk to the curb to wait for the uber

once the uber arrived, we hopped in and headed to our destination.
