C H A P T E R 17

—nova's pov—

the plane landed around 6:48 pm in paris, i texted daniel immediately after i landed. i grabbed my bag and headed straight to baggage claim, after retrieving my suitcase, i waved down a taxi and showed the driver the hotel's location. as i rode in the taxi, i texted me. kane that i landed safely and was heading to the hotel.

i entered into my hotel room and immediately pulled out my clothes from my suitcase and placed it in the dressers. after, i pulled on some sweats and a hoodie and headed straight to bed. i heard my phone buzz from the nightstand, i unplugged it and squinted to look at the contact, 'daniel' it read.

'hello' i yawned

'hey star' he stayed gently, hearing him smile

'so i'm assuming you're at the hotel now' he continued

'yeah, i'm about to go to bed, i have a break tomorrow but the day after i'm heading to the photo shoot' i say, rubbing my eyes

'well don't stress yourself too much, sweet dreams baby. i'll talk to you after my
interview tomorrow morning' he replies

i smile into the pillow before responding, 'ok, good night daniel'

i hung up and plugged my phone back in and shut the lights off.

—daniel's pov—

i sat on my hotel bed as the call ended, i placed my phone on the nightstand next to me and stared at the wall in front of me.

'yo, you ok bro?' jonah asks as he wipes his damp hair with a towel.

'oh, uh yeah, i just got off the phone with nova' i say, running a hand through my hair

'i'm guessing you miss her' he chuckles before putting the towel on the rack

'is it that obvious?' i ask

'kinda' he shrugs

i sigh and rub my face, 'i just want to hug her'

'hey what's go- oh what happened to pouty over here' corbyn questions as he enters the room (let's pretend there's a door for a conjoined room, so that's where he's coming from)

'i miss nova' i pout

'well of course you will, you're in a new relationship and you two haven't spent a lot of time together, i understand where you're coming from. christina and i went through that phase' corbyn smiles as he stands at the end of the bed.
'well she's in paris right now, im hoping i can see her when we head to paris soon' i reply

'you'll see her soon, don't worry' corbyn says as he exits the room

'you forgot the door!' jonah yells

'why don't you get it?' corbyn yells back

'you're closer!' jonah retorts

'ugh fine!' corbyn pouts as he walks up to the door connecting the two rooms together and closing it

'what am i gonna do with you guys' i laugh

'well you're gonna have to deal with us!' jonah laughs as well

'stop flirting!' i hear zach yell

'go to bed' jonah and i yell simultaneously

we here a huff and a slap, 'yeah go to bed' jack yells

i facepalm and laugh into my hands, 'glad i didn't have to share a room with those goons' i whisper

'whatcha say about us?' jack yells

'shut up!' we hear corbyn harshly whisper

'you goons probably woke up the entire hotel' corbyn continues

'wElL sOrRy' we hear zach mock

'this isn't gonna end well is it?' jonah asks

i look over to him and shake my head, 'not at all'
