C H A P T E R 32

—daniel's pov—

'did you send 'em yet?' corbyn asked as he sat on the hotel couch

'yeah, it should arrive later tonight' i replied as i unpacked

'you know daniel, you should pay her a visit and see how she's doing. y'all haven't talked in a while you know' corbyn states

'i know, but she's definitely not on the mood to talk to me or even see my face' i sigh

'hey you don't know that' corbyn replies

'ok well does she then?' i ask as i look over to the blonde haired boy

'yeah actually she does, she's called me multiple times late at night to tell me that she misses you like crazy as she's bawling her eyes out. daniel she still cares about you but she feels like you don't feel the same anymore' corbyn sighs

's-she misses me' i question as my eyes wonder to the carpet below me

'yeah, go visit her daniel, it'll be good for the both of you' corbyn pleads

'fine, but do we even have time-'

'daniel it's ok, just go, it's a 40 minute drive to her house. i'll give you her address, and you can go uber over there and say hi' corbyn responds

'but what about you gu-'

'we'll be fine, just go get your girl' corbyn groans as he hands me my phone, wallet and a jacket before pushing me out the door.

before he closes the door, he sends me the address and i call an uber. he gives me a little nod before closing the door. i quickly walk to the elevator and storm in once the door opened. my foot tapped on the ground below as i waited for the elevator to reach the ground floor, as soon as the doors opened, i walked out of the hotel and waited outside for my uber.

the uber soon drove up and i got inside, my heart was about to pound out of my chest, and to think i was actually going to see her, to even talk to her after all this time

'sir are you ok?' the driver asks as he gets on the freeway

'uh, yeah sorry i'm just anxious' i chuckle

'if you don't mind me asking, what are you so nervous about' he questions

'i'm going to be seeing someone o haven't seen in a while and i don't know how she's gonna react' i breathe out

'a girl huh? so i'm guessing she's your girlfriend' he smiles in the rearview mirror

'um not exactly, she's my ex but i just wanted to check up on her since i'm in town' i reply

'what happened to you two?' he asked

'there wasn't any communication between the both of us, i mean i kinda understand since we both love very busy lives' i ramble

'what do you guys do?' he asks once more

'i'm actually a singer in a band called why don't we, i travel often and my ex is a rising model who also travels frequently' i respond

'sounds like you guys are living the dream, when'd you guys break up?' he questions

'thank you, and i think about 2 and a half months ago, i don't know im not really keeping track' i reply with a sigh

'well you must still care about her after all this time' he states

'i do, i really do, she means the world to me and i couldn't have asked for anyone better' i smile at the thought of her

'what's this lovely lady's name' he asks once more

'nova, nova everett' i respond, grinning

'i'm guessing her father was coleman everett, the famous astrologist?' he questions lifting a brow

'indeed' i chuckle

'just a little advice, don't rush anything, it's not gonna get you anywhere. take your time with it, relationships are delicate. enjoy the moments you spend with her, treat her with kindness and respect. show her that you care, let her know too' he replies

'thank you' i smile as the car continued down the freeway

—nova's pov—

'nova the flowers arrived!' mom yelled as i got up from the couch and walked over to the door

i help her with the flowers and bring them inside, i set them on the dining table and step back, observing it.

'beautiful isn't it' mom stated as she appeared next to me

'yeah, but how'd the know orchids, jasmine and periwinkles were my favorite flowers?' i question

'who knows' mom shrugged

i walked up to the vase and spotted a little card

'to : nova
from : your favorite boys :)'

'we miss you! we hope you're having a great day or even better a great week. we might drop by for a visit before we leave. anyways we hope to see you sometime soon and also, it was such a pain to find a flower shop that could arrange orchids, jasmine, and periwinkle - corbyn, jonah, jack, zach, and daniel <3'

i smile at the little note and place it back on its holder

'hey mom' i say

'yes sweetheart?' she replies

'i'm gonna go visit dad for a bit, i'll be back soon' i state

'ok, wear warm clothes, it's cold outside' she responds

'i will' i reply quickly before running to my room to change, and soon after i head out the door
