C H A P T E R 8

—nova's pov—

everyone's alarms started ringing at the same time. i groan and pull the blanket over my head, i take a quick glance at my phone, '3:10 am'

'it's too early for this' i hear zach complain 

'i agree' corbyn yawned

i felt someone shaking my leg then my shoulder

'rise and shine nova!' daniel shook my shoulder repeatedly

'nooo' i groan as i push further into my top bunk

'don't make me pull you out of bed' he warned

i hummed in response, he laughs at my stubbornness

'well you asked for it' he said before climbing up and pulling me out of bed
he holds me in his arms, my blanket still wrapped around my cold body

'come on nova' he cooed

'no' i sleepily replied

i snuggle into his chest as my arms wrap around his neck, he starts spinning me around the small bus

'put me down!' i yell as he laughs hysterically

'ok, ok' he sets me down as he wipes a tear from his eye

i pout as i wrap the blanket around my head

'aw is somewne twired?' daniel chuckles as he wraps an arm around my waist

i nod my head as i rest it on his chest, he lifts my chin with his finger as he kisses my forehead

'you can sleep on the plane nova' he whispers into my ear

i smile at him as i untangle myself from his grip and change

everyone arrived at the airport and said our separate goodbyes. daniel, zach and i walked to our gate and waited to board. poor zach could barely stay awake, i had to slap his face a couple times before he would wake up. once our plane started boarding, zach immediately jumped up and we all walked onto the aircraft. zach was in the row next to daniel and i. luckily daniel and i got seats next to each other, unfortunately for zach he was stuck with 2 strangers but atleast he had the aisle seat. after the plane took off, zach went back to sleeping while i fell asleep on daniel's shoulder.

after 5 hours, we finally landed in la, we walked off the plane and out of our gate. daniel and zach were met with a crowd of fans so they decided to hang around for a bit. who i assumed was daniel's mom appeared from the crowd and went straight towards daniel. she engulfed him in a hug as he did the same. the crowd awed as they shared a special moment, zach and i stood off to the side watching them. daniel started talking to his mom, he pointed towards me but i didn't understand what he was saying over the commotion. i waved at her as she walked towards me.

'hey, i'm keri, daniel's mom' she smiled shaking my hand

'hi keri, im nova, nice to meet you' i smile back

'let's keep this between you and me, but i can tell daniel's quite fond of you' she winks

'i can tell, he's been treating me pretty well in the short time i've met him' i reply

'well, you seem really nice. i want to get to know you better, so would you like to come to dinner tomorrow?' she asked

'of course! i would love to meet the wonderful seavey family' i exclaim

'then it's settled! i'll tell daniel on our way home' she waves goodbye and leaves with the 2 boys

i walk outside as well and enter into my uber.

i walk into my home exhausted, i look around my new home and take in the small details. it's not a big home, it only had 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms, a backyard and a pool. it was comfortable living here, it wasn't too big or small for me. i dragged my heavy suitcase upstairs and into my bedroom, i unpacked everything and flopped onto the bed. it was now about 10 in the morning, all i wanted to do was sleep, but i didn't want to mess up my sleeping schedule. so, i changed into some comfortable clothes and did some chores. i turned on some music and blasted it through the house speakers. i picked up the giant hamper of dirty clothes and went downstairs and stuffed them into the washer. sighing, i walked to my couch and sat down. my phone started buzzing and noticed it was a facetime call from daniel. i walked up to my room as i answered the call

'hey nova' he said dragging the 'a'

'hi daniel' i laugh

'so what's up with you, aren't you supposed to be sleeping?' i ask

'i should be, but i don't want to' he replies

'and why is that?' i lean my phone on my pillows

'because i want to spend time with you' he smiles

'but i'm gonna be spending time with you and your family tomorrow' i say

'i know you are, but i want to spend time with you now' he pouts

'ok pouty boy, are you asking me out on a date?' i lift on eyebrow

'yes, well no, well maybe? um, yes? kinda?' he stutters

'you're cute, so where do you wanna go?' i giggle

'how about a beach date?' he smiles once more

'sounds good to me' i smile in return

'ok, i'll see you soon then' he waves to the camera

'bye daniel' i wave back before ending the call

i jump up and head over to my drawer to pull out a black bikini. running into the bathroom, i slip on the 2 piece and remove my makeup, i pull on a t-shirt and shorts, within minutes i gather all of my things and wait for the uber to arrive
