—nova's pov—

i walk out of the venue hand in hand with daniel. he pounds his foot down with every step, anger radiating off of him

'ok let's talk' he says suddenly as he let's go of my hand and looks me in the eye

he holds a stern look and crosses his arms across his chest, 'who was that guy and why was he touching you?'

'that guy back there?' i ask

'yeah that one' he replies harshly

'he's my friend daniel-'

'what's his name' he asks

'nolan' i roll my eyes, 'i don't understand why you're getting so fed up about something like this'

'i'm getting upset about this because my own girlfriend didn't tell me that she's been going out with some guy i don't even know' he rambles as his face reddens

'daniel i don't need to tell you everything that's happening in my life!' i yell in response

he huffs and chuckles, 'i know i don't need to know everything, i wanna know who you're hanging out with'

'well you don't tell me who you hang out with' i scoff

'yes i do-'

'that angi girl i see you text all the time, who is she?' i question

'angi is my childhood best friend nova, she's been there through the thick and thin! she's nothing more then a friend, in fact she's like a sister to me!' he yells in defense

'ok and what about the other people?' i yell once more

'what other people do you need to know nova?! i tell you when i'm meeting up with someone and who they are but you, on the other hand, you don't even tell me half of the people you go out with or who they are. nova how am i supposed to trust these people? how do i know you're gonna be safe?!' he throws his hands in the air

'i can protect myself thank you very much' i huff

'i know you can nova, but what happens if you can't' he asks, 'what happens if something does happen to you? how am i gonna protect you?' his face softens

'daniel' i sigh, 'i understand your concern, but i can stand up for myself if anything happens, and i can most certainly be able to tell you what i want to tell you!' i angerly spat

'nova i'm trying to understand-'

'understand what exactly?!' i question, my anger coming to a boil

'trying to understand why you won't let me in your life! nova i've been trying so hard but i can't keep doing this! i can't keep going around the walls you've built around yourself! i'm you're boyfriend, i wanna help you!' he huffs as tears well in his eyes

'if you can't keep going around my walls then don't' i say as tears fall from my eyes

'what-' he asks as the tears start to fall

'we're done here' i finally remark as i walk away from the crying boy

'i'm so sorry' he mumbles as i continue to walk away
