E P I L O G U E

i have a semi long a/n at the end and i hope you guys read it cause i'm gonna be talking ab a bunch of stuff

—daniel's pov—

'we're here' i smile to nova as i set the car into park

nova climbs out of the passenger's seat and heads towards the back. i get out and help her unload all our suitcases from the trunk. she grabs a couple bags and rolls a suitcase up to the porch of the house we rented for the next couple months. she set her stuff down as she searched for the key, once she found it, she opened the door to our new malibu home.

'ugh i've always dreamed of living in a house in malibu' nova exclaimed as her hands flew up towards the ceiling.

she looked like a kid in a candy store, she ran around the house looking at all the view from the multiple windows that were lining the house.

'maybe one day when we can finally settle down, we'll have something like this' i chuckle as she glances back and sends me a smile

'in the meantime, help me bring these upstairs, then we can go exploring or go relax' i continued as i walked to the bedroom

nova and i laid out stuff on the ground and began unpacking.

after a while, nova decided to go out and sit on the balcony that overlooked the rolling hills and the ocean. i stepped outside and sat in the chair next to nova, we didn't talk but enjoying the view with her next to me was all i needed. i reached across the small table and laces our hands together, a small smile crept onto her face as she looked on at the beauty around us. the birds were flying across the bright blue sky as clouds glided above them, the calm, the salty breeze flowed through the hills, and the sun glowing through the fluffy clouds. it looked like paradise, even if we were only a couple hours away from home.

'it feels so nice to finally get away from everything for a while like we both have breaks from our crazy busy lives, and we can catch up on stuff, ya know?' nova suddenly stated

'it does like i get to spend time with my favorite person and enjoy the peace and quiet' i reply with a smile

the sun was beginning to set and it was slowly disappearing underneath all the rolling hills.

'i don't know what's more beautiful, sunsets or a sky full of stars' nova said as she admired at the sunset

'well i can tell you that you're more beautiful then both of them combined' i respond

'oh my, you and your cheesy lines' nova chuckled as she slapped my arm and got up

'oh come on i know you love them' i exclaim as i throw my arms up

'nope, not at all' nova sassily replied as she gave me a cold shoulder

'sure' i sarcastically respond, 'i'll be right back' i state before walking back into the house

i walk up to the bedroom and rummage through all my stuff, when i open my nightstand drawer, i spot the one thing i was looking for. i grab the black velvet box and open it to see the beautiful, yet simple diamond ring. i close the box, slip it into my back pocket and head back outside to see nova still soaking in the sunset. at this point, the blue sky was decorated with pink and red colored clouds. as i reached nova, i wrapped an arm around her waist.

she leans her head on my shoulder, keeping her eyes on the sunset, 'i could live in this moment forever'

'me too' i replied, as i slowly stepped away

she picked her head up from my shoulder and looked at me, confusion written across her face, 'what's up?' she finally asked

'nova, i've known you for well over 2 years, you're the most amazing, talented and beautiful person i've ever met in my life. you understand me better than most people and it's incredible how you understand the mess that is my brain, but i greatly appreciate it. i've known from the start that you were my person. even though we've had our many ups and downs, i wouldn't wanna be with anybody else and go through life with anyone except you' i breathe out

'so nova,' i continue, getting down onto one knee, 'will you marry me?'

her hands fly up to her mouth as she slowly nods her head, 'yes of course, are you crazy?!' she exclaims as i slip the ring her finger.

her arms wrapped around my neck and pulled me into a tight embrace.

'i love you so much' she whispered as her voice cracked

'i love you too my star' i replied back

she pulled away and streaks of mascara were running down her face, 'oh my goodness nova i didn't mean to make you cry-'

'no no it's ok, they're happy tears' she laughed as she snuggled and wiped the tears away, further smearing the mascara

'let me get your makeup wipes' i laugh as we walk hand in hand into the house

welcome to the semi long a/n! it's almost been a year since i've started this story and honestly i didn't think i was gonna publish it, but i'm glad i did cause obviously many enjoyed it based on the spam of votes i get everyday from this story alone. well this will be my last story for a while, since i've been focusing on school more, i've had no time to write chapters anymore. i've felt burnt out because instead of making chapters for fun, i've been making it into a chore and i didn't want that to happen. so, i'll be taking a v long hiatus from writing, well until summer maybe. but, all my writing will be on my wattpad only instead of on both wattpad and insta. i'd like to thank everyone who has read this story, it means the world to me that i can make content that people enjoy. so i'll see you guys later and hopefully come back with an even better story :)
