"Yeah!" Rantaro shouts victoriously after winning in a stamina match. "This is what Ragnaruk can do!"

Valt reaches in the stadium with a defeated sigh. When you came back upon being settled down to the ground, you were standing with your hands on your knees while panting heavily. You softly whined as you feel your partner's hand reassuringly patting your back.

"Sorry, [First name]," he chuckles a little, helping you up on your feet. "I think I pushed you too hard."

"Nah, it's fine," you reassure him. Finally standing up, you began stretching your back by lifting your hands high up in the sky. "It's good training," you turn to Rantaro. "Nice fight there, Kumicho!"

Rantaro rubs his nose with pride. "Hah, that's nothin'."

"You're all fired up, huh, Kumicho?" Daina teased to which Rantaro rolls his eyes and begins to utter some nonsense to Valt. Your partner predictably replies with a serious comment, thus starting another round of banter.

Watching fondly, you hear footsteps behind you in the midst of their argument. Turning around, you see Shu handing you a water bottle. "Here, you need it more than me." You take it in your hands and right as you were about to tell him you don't need it, you figured it'd be rude to refuse it. After all, Shu's eyes seem particularly bright as he offered it.

Unscrewing the cap, you take a swig. It was quite refreshing, but hardly did anything to help your condition. You weren't telling him that though. "Thanks," you say with a grateful smile.

"I'm lookin' forward to this team competition," Rantaro brags. His voice forcing you two to redirect your attention back to him. "We're gonna win for sure."

"D'ya really think you can win, just like that?" A new voice chimes in from the opening doors of the rooftop. Whipping around, you see Wakiya waltzing in with a smug look. "At this point, the only person learnin' anythin' is [First name]."

You tilt your head at his comment. Valt smiles and runs to the taller boy eagerly. "Late, huh?" He asked. "C'mon, let's start training!"

Wakiya scoffs. "I didn't join the BeyClub just to have play battles."

"Play battles?!" Rantaro shouts, marching over with an annoyed glare.

"Listen up," Wakiya stops him in his tracks. "Startin' today, the BeyClub will be training my way." He points at himself with a prideful smile. "'Cause I'm gonna be this team's captain."

"What?!" You and the rest of the BeyClub shout.

"You, captain?" Rantaro says with a face of bewilderment.

"It's thanks t'me we can join the team competition," Wakiya bragged. "It's only natural."
