To say I liked Peter Pan was an understatement but I didn't love him yet. Love is like a tree. It grows of its own accords and puts down deep roots into our whole being. I'm still getting there.

"So the trick is to wave your hand like this" Peter explains. This is my first scheduled lesson with him. He is teaching me how to freeze people and I don't mean with ice, although that would be kinda cool.

I wave my hand the way he showed me. Right now, I'm practicing with Peter's shadow. It stops in mid air so I know it worked.

"Alright now that you've got that down would you like to learn about psychokinesis?" psychokinesis is the ability to move object with your mind.

"Sure I guess." I say hesitantly. To be completely and utterly honest, I'm exhausted. He's been teaching me magic for at least three hours. He's already taught me biokinesis and telekinesis.

"You want to take a break, don't you?"

"Yes, very much so." I say quickly and immediately. "Um, Peter, remember when I told you about dreams I had of this place before I came here?" I asked. He nodded showing that he did remember so I continued. "Is there anyway for me to remember the last dream I had of this place? It's all fuzzy and it feels like there's something stopping me from remembering."

"Actually, there is. meet me in my tent before tonight's bonfire." he said. He teleported us back to the camp. "I'll start working on a memory potion right now."He walks into his tent while I go to sit with our friends.

"So, how were your 'lessons'?" Thomas asked wiggling his eyebrows. Why does everybody assume we were doing something other than magic.

"It was tiring. He taught me how to change my eye color, and freeze things." I said using hand motions. "But, honestly, he's a lot different than he was when we met. He seemed evil but now he seems like a normal human being." Thomas, James, and Felix looked as though they knew exactly what I was talking about.

"The thing about Peter is that he has demons. He can be completely normal one minute and then extremely dangerous the next." James explains.

"We think that you're a big help. It's been a little over two months since the last time he went all psycho on us" Thomas say. He says. I can tell that these boys are willing to stick by Peter's side no matter what.  I'm glad that he has friends like this because if they abandoned him than I don't know if Peter would be capable of falling in love. His heart would be completely black.

Its been a few hours and now I'm wondering how long it takes to make a memory potion. The bonfire will be starting any moment. I pace back and forth in front of Peter's tent hoping that he's almost done. Did he forget? Did it go terribly wrong and it killed him? Nope, that would be nearly impossible to kill him. He doesn't die easily.

After pacing back and forth for about half an hour while thinking of all the possible reasons for why it was taking so long, I feel a hand pull me into the tent.

"It's finished." he says walking to a desk full of potions and magical objects. He picks up two small flasks with a blue liquid. "This will give you back every stolen memory." He hands me one before drinking from the other. I put mine to my lips when Peter suddenly panics. "wait, don't..." before he finishes a wave of memories come flooding back.

Flashback

I run past tree after tree until I reach a beach. The sand is soft and cold but not too cold. I stare at the sky until I get a feeling. Something is different. I can feel something watching me as I turn towards the trees. There's something out there I can't resist. I see someone but not their face. I just see an outline of a boy. That is all I see since his face is hidden. "Why do you hide your face, boy?" I ask.

"Because you can't see me yet." The voice answers. He sounds sweet and mischievous but also as smooth as silk and as hard as stone.
"Why not?" I ask. Something about him is pulling at my heart, mind, and soul. I need to see more. "Who are you? Why must I wait?"

"Trust me, love, you will see me soon enough but for now, you must wake up. You won't remember this dream but trust me. Now, close your eyes." He says. I obey because I cannot resist. He has the kind of voice that one must obey for the sake of all that matters.

I close my eyes and I can hear him come near. I feel his soft lips on mine.

END OF FLASHBACK

I blink my eyes a few times. Then I look at Peter. He looks back at me. He looks anxious and regretful. Was it really that bad? I open my mouth to speak but close it again. What am I supposed to say. I just found out that Peter Pan was my first kiss but not technically because it happened in a dream.

"That was you?" I ask already knowing the answer. He opens his mouth to speak but closes it again like I did. He nods his head to let me know that it was in fact him.

"Y/N, I love you, but we can't be together." he says. Hearing him say those three words made my heart flutter but then hearing him say we cant bee together was like a punch to the heart.

"Why not?" I ask. My voice sounded a bit weird but I don't care. He looks devastated.

"I have demons, Y/N. I'm cursed. You need someone who will be able to kiss you without their heart becoming totally black."  He looks down at his feet. "I won't be able to love you properly. You shouldn't have broke things with James."

"No." I say. he looks up at me in shock. "I'm not with James because we both know that we're not each other's true love. I don't care that you can't ever kiss me. I don't care. That's the thing about true love. It endures. It can't be broken. Peter, I love you and even if I have to wait, I will because I'll never stop loving you." He grabs a hold of my hand and holds it gently.

"Y/N, I won't force you to wait because it might take a hundred years to lift this curse for all I know but if you will, I'll try my hardest to break it."

"I'm fine with that." I say. Together I hope that we'll be able to fix this and finally be together but if he wants me to wait I will. We've got this.
