17. im so sorry

Maya can barely see what's happening. Her head is spinning and all she can hear is ringing.

"Lucas?" Her voice cracks weakly.
She sees his blood.

The semi hit his side.
"No no no. Lucas."

"Please!" Her cries fill New York.

"I'm gonna call someone don't worry."
A young lady rushes to call the ambulance.

Maya is helped get out of the car by the fire department.

"Lucas. Get him out!"

They try there best and he's fully out. Maya sees him.

He gets put on a stretcher. Weak. But not dead.

"Baby I'm so sorry." Maya cries. His head has no cuts so he isn't bleeding from any harmful areas.

"Let's get in miss Hart." She nods and sits with him.

"Shit. I'm pregnant. "
"Miss Hart. I don't think you are anymore."

She nods.
Digging her head into her stomach.

She takes deep breaths sitting next to Lucas as he is out cold. Still alive. But for how long?
Maya didn't know for how long but she hoped for a long time.

She looked down at her stomach knowing that the baby was dead. All because of her she thought.

Tears filled her eyes. "I'm so sorry Lucas." Maya cried out.

The only thing that could make this worse happened.

"No. No beeping. Please no!" Maya yelled Doctors rushing in. All their friends came as soon as they heard.

"No! He's not dead. HE ISNT DEAD." Maya shouts trying to run to Lucas and the doctors. Well try and attack them.

Riley holds Maya back.
"Maya he is gone." Riley begins to cry, holding her arms out.

Maya just falls to the floor. Riley holds her best friend tight.

"At least you still have the baby." Topanga says. Only causing Maya to cry louder.

"Oh. Oh no. Honey I'm so sorry."
Maya gets up and crawls into Topangas arms.

Katy and Shawn finally arrive.

"Mom. He's gone." Katy gasps and wraps herself around Maya.

"And the baby?" Katy asks swaying back and fourth.

"Yeah, he's gone too." Maya sniffles.

The doctors and nurses all stop and begin to tear up as well.

"Maya, I'm so sorry for your losses." A nurse said.

Maya nods and smiles. But not a joy smile. Just a thank you smile.

"I should've been the one who died. Lucas didn't deserve this. Either did this baby. He told me to slow down. He said 'Maya the semi truck.' Well he never got to finish his sentence. Because of my dumb self. God, why did this have to happen."

Everyone just sat down on the floor as my stood up looking at the floor.

"Come here Maya." Riley said holding her arms out.

Maya sat between Riley's legs and laid her head on her chest. Riley wrapping her arms around Maya's waist.

She fell asleep like that, her tears tiring her and she looked comfortable. Accepting Lucas's death.

After that, everything else was a blur.

Mainly, because it was a dream.

"This is all my fault!" Maya wakes up yelling.
Lucas is startled and brings all his attention to Maya.

"Oh my god. It was a dream."
She runs to the mirror and she looks like a human.

Lucas walks behind her.
"What happened?"

"Lucas! Maya says happily and runs into his arms.

"Woah hey. What's wrong?"

They walked downstairs and made coffee so they could talk.

"Well, you had this entire trip planned out for me. And you were gonna propose. But you let me say my news first. I said the baby is dying and it's causing me to be sick. I waited 2 weeks before telling you. You got mad and I ran out of the house. You threw everything to the floor and went to Zay's. I ran in and saw everything knowing I needed to find you.
I did and we were going to the doctors to maybe help the baby and I. But I drove like a maniac and we got hit by a semi. At the hospital both you and the baby died. I cried with everyone and fell asleep on Riley."

Lucas's eyes were wide.

He walked behind her and wrapped his arms around her shoulders.

"Well I'm here. Yore here and so is the baby. I'm sorry you had that dream Maya. That has to be scary because duh I died. I'm to good to die. "

Maya chuckled and kissed his lips, Lucas quickly kissing back.

They scurried back to bed and cuddled. Maya never getting out of his grip.
