34. One Month

It's been one month since Kane was born. I am so proud of Maya and how amazing she is with Kane.

She gets up every night to sing for him, gives him her full attention when she isnt busy and has a set feeding schedule.

Maya has been just..amazing and saying I'm proud, well that would be an understatement.

And seeing her be with him is just so beautiful and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Right now, I'm with Kane and making breakfast for me and Maya.

Kane looks at me, smiles and giggles. I walk over to him and pick my adorable son up, tickling his mini double chin.

Hearing his laughter is so heart warming. He reminds me so much of Maya, even the same sparkle in his eyes.

While I'm playing with Kane, I hear maya walk down the stairs.

"You two must he having fun. " she smiles.

I turn to her and chuckle, walking towards her.

"Morning." I say to her, placing a gentle kiss on her lips.

"Howdy. " I laugh and hand her the one month baby.

"I cant believe you're one whole month. " Maya says in her baby voice. Kane giggles and puts on the biggest smile.

She kisses his cheek and puts him in his baby stool.

"We can set up the party in a bit. " I tell Maya, setting the plates full of food.

"Great. " she smiles at me and we continue to eat our breakfast.

One month. One month since my baby boy was born.

Or would he be 10 months since he was alive for 9 months? I dont know but I do know this party about to be do extra.

We've ate breakfast and I'm getting ready to shower while Lucas puts Kane to take a nap.

He has been an amazing dad and an amazing boyfriend since Kane was born.

I take my pajamas off and walk in the shower. I reflect on everything that has happened in the past few weeks.

It's been crazy but at the same time, it just been incredible.

My thoughts get interrupted by someone's arms wrap around my waist.

"Hi." I giggle.
"Howdy." Lucas responds, placing kisses down my neck.

I chuckle, falling under his "spell" of..love.

Let's just say...I'm under the spell.

After our shower and and getting in clothes we start hanging up decorations for the party.

We have banners and balloons and presents. Yes..I'm extra.

Once we finish up everything, Lucas and I play with Kane until it's almost time for the party and we get ddressed up for that

It was a small party. Just some family and friends. He got lots of toys and clothes. Lots of attention.

It's amazing having people who support you.

Me and Lucas plop down in bed and get cuddled up, passing out immediately.

Until we hear crying.
