I was walking home on a Friday night, and I had my switchblade handy in my pocket. Every greaser knew better than to travel without one especially on Friday nights. Greasers know every Friday Socs got out to party's and get drunk and look for fights. I knew that all too well, I remember one Friday night and I was beaten to the pulp. They left me there and I laid their unconscious overnight until my gang found me. After that, I was scared to of my own shadow.

I still am a little paranoid but I asked the boys in my gang to help me get stronger. So they would wrestle with me every night before I went to bed. "Hey there grease," I looked up and seen about 4 Socs crowd around a boy. He looked awfully familiar. "Watcha doin out so late by yourself huh?" The one I recognized as Bob Sheldon said. He was the most known Soc around town. Hated by all Greasers loved by all Socs.

"It's none of your business," the greaser boy snapped. I knew who that was.. PonyBoy. "Don't get mouthy you little shit," another spoke. They all started to move in closer to Pony so I pulled out my switchblade. "Does there seem to be a problem?" I asked. They all turned to me, then their eyes went down to the switchblade in my hand.

"You're not gonna use that on us sweet cheeks. You're too scared." One laughed. I smirked and stepped in closer. "Wanna bet on that?" I cocked a brow. His smile fell and it turned into a frown. "Let's get out of here guys. You better watch your back little greaser." Bob yelled. I rolled my eyes walking up to PonyBoy looking him over.

"Did they hurt you Pony?" I asked. His cheeks turned a crimson red, and he shook his head. "T-thank you Y/N. You sure d-did save me from a rough b-beaten." He stuttered. I gave him a knowing smile and started walking with him towards the Curtis House. "Pony where have you been?" Darry asked. He raised from his chair and was about to yell when he noticed I was with him. "I was comin from the lot, and Y/N saved me from some Socs." He said.

"It was my fault Darry. I wanted someone to hang out with, but he kept telling me he needed to get home but I didn't want him to leave. If anyone should get the blame, it's me. Can you forgive me?" I asked. Darry's eyes softened and he nodded with a slight grin.

"Just don't let it happen again, or I'll have to skin Y'all both," He chuckled. I nodded and grabbed Pony's hand walking upstairs. "Thank you so much Y/N.. for everything." Pony smiled. I nodded patting him on the back. "Anything for family," I said. He walked into his room and I walked back downstairs looking for Darry's chocolate cake.
