This would mark a week that Ponyboy has been gone, and the editorial for Johnny killing the Soc. Dally was called into the station and I knew right away that he knew where they were. "Dally c'mere," I said making Dally look up from the Tv confused. I took him outside to the porch. "I know you know where Johnny and Pony is. I want you to take me to them." I said making him more confused. Don't play dumb with me Dallas.

"You've mistaken Soda. I have no idea where they are." He said looking to the screen door then back at me cautiously. "Dally your not a good liar. You don't got to take me to him but just give him this Alright." I said handing him the slip of paper I wrote, and my paycheck for this week. "Alright Sodapop, even though I don't know where he is. You just gave me a bunch of beers for tonight." He laughed sending a wink. He was just saying that because the gang were listening.

"Whatever Dal." I said laughed walking back into the living room and taking a seat next to Steve on the couch. "What was that about?" He asked looking from the Tv to me. "Ehh, just had to give him money from losing a bet I made with him." I said with a simple shrug.

"Soda we gotta go now," Darry yelled from downstairs in the kitchen. I jumped out of bed and rushed down the stairs not bothering to mess with my hair. "What is it?" I asked making him look up from tying his shoes. "I just got a call from the hospital they have Pony, Johnny and Dally." He said making my stomach do flips. Why were they in the hospital?

I slipped on my shoes rushing into Darry's pickup truck. Me being nervous was an understatement, what happened? "Did they say anything else?" I asked Darry hoping to get some more information. "I don't know. They just said that they were checked into the hospital."

I sat back in my seat, and prayed silently the entire ride. All I could think is Pony was hurt. When we walked in the first thing I saw was the lady at the check in counter, and a boy with blond hair covered in black smoke. He had a cancer stick lit, and had his head laid back against the wall. "Pony," I said causing him to look up at me. He jumped up from his seat pulling me in for a hug. I wrapped my arms around him tightly not wanting to let go.

"Your hair," I pulled back almost on the verge of tears making him laugh. "Ponyboy," Darry spoke making Pony look to him, and he rushed to him hugging him. "I thought we lost you like we did mom and dad." He cried into Ponys shoulder. Pony kept apologizing to him. I pulled them both in for a hug and cried. We all did.

The fact that Darry never really cried, it showed how much Pony meant to him. He didn't even cry at mom and dads funeral. He had to be strong for us, but now was different he didn't need to be strong. All we were was happy to be together again. As a family.
