"Did you hear about Hailey?"
"You mean...?"
"Yes OMG!"
The 2 girls laughed as Hailey hurried past, head turned away, eyes watering, mind wondering what those 2 could be talking about, what did her ex-BFF, Jade, leak out this time?

When reaching her class, she noticed everyone trying to hide their sniggers. She hung her head down as she moved over to her seat, then proceeded to rest her head on the table. Until she felt a tap on her shoulder, "Ha! How on earth did you think Chad would like a freak like you?" So that was the 'gossip of the week' this time. A new Monday and already a new 'story' leaked.
"I... I don't know what you're talking about..." Hailey said, though it came out more as a whisper.
"What?!" Jade yelled in her ears, pretending she didn't hear a thing.
Hailey covered her ears as small tears began to leak out of her bright purple eyes. She repeated what she had said but was interrupted by Jade, who said "You're nothing but a weak and pathetic girl. You could never be with Chad," she slammed Hailey's diary on her desk then continued, "and how is it that I'm all out of gossip to tell. How boring!" She sashayed off to her own seat, only to be blocked by the football star himself.

"Ah, Chad!" She exclaimed, just as surprised as the rest of us. She began to twirl her hair around her finger.
Like always, Hailey thought.
"Umm, can I help you, Chadie?" Jade asked, sounding as innocently as possible.
"The name's Chad, b****." He replied, not impressed by her attitude.
The whole class gasped. The guy everyone looked up to. The guy that all the girls were after. The guy, who just shut the pretty diva's mouth to help another.
"How on earth do you think a guy like me could like a rat like you? You're nothing but someone who hides her true colours with an 'ideal image'. You could never be with me," he echoed her words with his own twist, as he added "and how is it that you dropped your own closest friend just because of a little accident she found out." That did it. Jade, to say the least, was mortified, stammering "Y-you w-wouldn't..."
Chad Hunter, the guy who all the girls fawned over and all the guys were best friends with, smirked and whispered in her ear "I wonder... what would it feel to have a taste of your own medicine."
Jade went pale, as if she had seen a ghost, and ran from the class, head in hands, weeping for her sins.

There was absolute silence in the classroom, as Chad made his way to Hailey's desk and said, "Apparently that 'story' of yours was from 2 years ago," causing Hailey to blush and look down in embarrassment. Chad held his hand under her chin, and guided her to look at him, saying, "How would you like to make that a today, or better yet, tonight?" He smirked, waiting for her answer.

"S-sure, I-I'd love to," Hailey replied.

Chad smiled at her, replying with "Good, be ready by 7 pm then," as he returned to his seat.

Hailey knew the other girls were glaring at her with daggers in their eyes.
And she didn't care.
