"Imagine being hunted and ending up at a dead end. You turn and the only way of escaping is to get passed your worst fears. But you're too scared. That's the real form of feeling trapped." ~Rose4eva789

My 2 best friends and I were walking home after watching a movie. As they discussed what happened and how it was "Oh so weird/awesome/(add any adjective you want)," I noticed that it had gotten dark. Silver gems dotted the night sky. The silver moon was our beacon, lighting our way home.

Every so often, the wind rustled through the leaves of the trees and one of my friends, Mia, constantly jumped.
"Honestly Mia, you've got to stop," Alexia said without looking back at her, "It's just the wind."
"I know," Mia whimpered. She acts more like a scared little kitten rather than a young teenage girl. "It's just so dark."
"Well if we hurry up you won't need to worry so much. The sooner we get home, the better." I said, not liking the fact that we were outside at night.
"For Mia at least," Alexia muttered.

We continued to walk in silence, with the cool breeze flowing through our hair and nuzzling our noses. Alexia suddenly stopped and both me and Mia bumped into her.
"Why did you stop for?" I asked, rubbing my nose.
"Did you hear that?" She asked, completely ignoring my question.
"Oh you know, probably 'just the wind'," Mia replied, mimicking her from before.
"No, I mean it," She said, then looking at me she asked urgently, "You heard it too, right Willow?"
A low growl... "Oh I hear it alright," I said. Someone or something was following us. "Let's get out of here."

We ran down the street to find somewhere safer than where we were. I could hear a car's droning engine and smell the pollutants made by it. A kidnapper? A thief? A murderer? We only knew to run as if our lives depended on it.

It felt like hours went by when we decided to turn down into an alleyway to hide but also to rest as we were getting tired from running. The path was very wet from the earlier rain, which caused us to make splashes loud enough for anyone to hear. We could only hope that the person hadn't gotten out of their car with their dog and followed us here.

But of course, we were wrong.

When we were ready to get going, the stranger had managed to find us. Mia huddled close to me behind one trash can, Alexia behind the other opposite us. His shadow grew bigger as he came closer. The growl from his dog grew louder, as if it was after food... or worse...

"We know you're here little ladies," the male voice said, "Come on out. I promise I won't bite!" He added, laughing wickedly.

Alexia had a look on her face saying 'How sickening.'

"Now listen here, kids. You have no way out. Make it easy for yourself and just come out. Don't make me use Danny on you." His dog growled when it heard his name.

The stranger was right. We were at a dead end, and he and his dog were blocking our only escape...
