Leaving home was probably the best decision I have ever made but it is also the worst decision I have ever made.

Mostly because I got captured.

If I wasn't so curious about those damn humans I may have never got caught in the first place. But here I was, trapped in a tank while humans in strange white lab coats examined me. I wander if my mother was here? I know it's a long shot but I could have hope right? But looking back at these humans who had a look of astonishment yet curiosity made me realize that this is probably the first time they have ever seen let alone touched a siren.

Glaring at all the curious faces I swam deep within the tank until I came across a cave. It wasn't big but it wasn't small either. Sighing heavily I lay my head on a large rock thinking about how my life couldn't possibly get any worse. And then it happened. After a full day of being trapped in this tank I felt her, my other half. She was near by which got me more excited then I have ever been in my entire life, I left the pod because I wanted to find my mate. My mother told me that once I find her something inside me would switch on.

Taking a deep breath I swim back towards the front of the tank only to see a beautiful human girl standing there, she had beautiful long wavy brown hair gray eyes and beautiful pale skin that I practically craved to touch. As she turned around however I begin to fear that she might leave me so I swam up to the glass and slammed my hand against it gaining her full attention. I wanted her.

And seeing the  surprised look on her face only aroused me even more as I begin to sing her the mating call. I have mated my fair share of mermaids in the past but never have I ever mated a human girl.

She was so close to the edge of the water tank I could practically pull her in and kiss her, but before I could an older women grabbed her and shoved her in another room making me feel angry as I let out a loud screech hoping my mate would come back.

Everything around me began to shake as I banged harder and harder on the glass trying my absolute hardest to break it but to no avail. I stopped my wailing as I saw my mate with a pained look in her eyes while she had her ears covered making me frown.

I didn't mean to cause her pain but I have been looking for my mate for over a century now, and I wasn't about to let some mangey humans take her away.

This girl was mine.

I watched intently as she put her hand up against the glass on my own making me smile until I watched this older women grab her while she spoke in a harsh tone making me growl deeply as both my mate and this other women walked towards the exit.

I watch as my mate suddenly turned around making stare at her in sadness as she spoke to the older women once again. I honestly New very little of there language but that doesn't mean I couldn't learn it.

Excitement surged through me as she began to walk back up the stairs making me circle around in happiness as I swam up towards the top.

I could tell just by looking at my mate that she was nervous.

"H-Hey, I just wanted you to know that I'll be back I'm just going back home to rest is all."

It's funny really, because I understood her perfectly which was a bit confusing to me since I couldn't exactly understand the others but maybe I could understand her because she was my mate?

Stretching my hand out towards her I grew even more excited as she did the same thing. Just as are hands touched for the first time I felt electricity surge through me confirming that she was in fact my mate to be.

As I looked into my mates beautiful unique gray eyes I could tell she was annoyed as she turned around to speak towards the two people in anger.

"I will mom!"

Before she could even think about finishing her sentence I pulled her in the tank.

I watched in excitement as my mate was finally closer to me but what caught my eye was the panicked hand movements she was making as she tried to swim back up to the top to get some air, did she not know how to swim?

Shaking my head I grasp her hand tightly before swimming quickly towards my cave so she could get some fresh air.

"Are you crazy?! You could have killed me, I can't swim!"

I figured that much. I think to myself as I watch her remove her now wet clothes making me smirk as she removed her shirt giving me a good eye full of her decent sized breast.

I could feel my self getting even more aroused making me pounce on her surprising her once again as I gently caressed her soft cheek as my bare breast pressed against her own.
