[ kathryn's pov ]
after the movie

max and i decided to go on a walk since harvey went to meet up with friends and ali still hadn't woken up. let me remind you that it's about 12 in the afternoon. this is a new record.

then it hit me. i knew why she was so tired. she was hungover.

"max, did ali get drunk last night?" i asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

he laughed nervously. "she got a teeny-tiny bit tipsy. it wasn't bad! i promise i'm a good person!" he cried out dramatically. "shhh! max oh my god you're so dramatic," i replied, moving my hand over his mouth.

he nodded and i let go.

"why the heck did you allow her to get 'tipsy'?" i asked in annoyance. ali was a good girl. i guess max was her weakness.

"i didn't mean to. i'm sorry!" he replied, moving his hands around. "max. it's fine. just don't ever do it again. ever," i threatened. he nodded and put his hands up in surrender. "never ever shall i ever do it again," he replied, making me laugh.

"what?" he asked, sounding offended. i laughed again. "your wording was so off," i replied with a smile. he laughed too. "well i'm not perfect," he said. i nodded. "no one is," i replied.

[ harvey's pov ]
ethan's house: 12:46 pm

"so you're actually dating a hot american girl who's staying in your house?" one of my friends, tyler asked with amazement. i nodded and chuckled a bit. "plus..it's your house..you two could-" tyler started to say before i cut him off. "dude. chill. it's not like that." i said while pushing him playfully. he laughed.

"dude! she's a literal 10/10," my other friend, jacob, exclaimed. "i saw her at the party looking wayyy hotter than the girls at our school!" he continued. ethan sighed and rolled his eyes. "guys. it's not going to last," he said, leaning back into his chair even more. "oi, why are you being a buzzkill? we all know harvey doesn't actually like her. he's just benefiting offa her," tyler replied to ethan's remark.

i raised an eyebrow and sat back. "actually, i'm not," i told them while looking around. they stared at me confused, well, tyler and jacob did. ethan just looked unamused. "is this some kind of joke?" tyler asked as he looked at me. i shook my head.

jacob laughed. "harvey we all know you can't keep a girl for long. your player instincts will kick in eventually. i mean, that's what we do." he said.

i looked at him. "i don't wanna be the 'schools worst player' anymore. of course it was all fun and games, but i just want a serious relationship right now," i replied back to him. ethan laughed a little. "harvey. we get that you want a normal relationship right now, but what about in the future?" ethan spoke.

i shrugged. "i'm pretty sure i won't make the same mistakes i already have," i replied. he shook his head in disapproval. "plus, kathryn's leaving in less than two months!" tyler cut it.

i rolled my eyes. that's going to be that hardest part about any of this. i'll miss her so much, too much actually.

i nodded. "i know. long distance is a thing and if we actually like eachother as much as we think then it'll work out in the end," i replied. jacob and tyler rolled their eyes and looked back at the tv.

i looked over at ethan who was looking at me in annoyance. "harvey. you're a bad boy. you're not the newly changed loyal guy you think you are now. accept the facts, because sooner or later, you'll have to."
