Gently rubbing his thumb against your cheek, Norman watched your sleeping form.
Dimming his projector, he pulled you closer to himself. He just wanted to protect you- he knew that if anyone hurt you, he would never forgive himself.
Continuing to gently trace patterns on your (s/c) skin- down from your cheek and to your shoulder- he couldn't help but feel jealous.
You were perfect, and he was just a monster.
But... it's one of the reasons he loved you. You were perfect within a place filled to the brim with monsters. The blank, perfect piece of paper beside the messy ink spill, reaching to stain everything it could touch.
You had treated him well from the second you had seen him. Getting lost in the hallways, you were scared enough to get his attention.
Leaning back, his light dimmed even more as he dwelled in the memory.

You stepped through the halls, looking down at the hearts you had collected with a grimance.
You had gotten lost down here just for these. You hated how dark it was, how these winding hallways used projectors that casted light looked far too similar to that of the ink creature's.
Finally, you broke. Standing still, you waited for The Projectionist to come to you.
When he saw you, he let out a shriek, running over- but slowed down, as you barely even flinched.
Stepping over to him, you shivered at the thought that he could kill you at any second if he wanted to.
"Uh- hello, Mr. Projector, I, uh-"
Clearing your throat, you shook your head. "My name is (y/n), and I need help getting to the elevator..."

Without even realizing it, Norman drifted off into sleep, his projector completely shutting off as he held you close.
You were all that mattered to him now. And you were all that would matter to him for as long as he lived.
