A/N: back at it again with Sammy boy
Slowly drifting through the ink, you gazed at the surface. You certainly weren't a classic mermaid- you swam more like a fish than a marine mammal, and you had more fins. Way more fins, like a lionfish. Your nails were like sharp claws and your teeth were those of a shark's.
Hauling the human half of your body onto the wooden dock, you attempted to peer into the village. "Sammy," you sang, "Are you here?"
Familiar footsteps approached, and you smiled. Your tail swished through the ink, but you were silent.
When Sammy turned around the corner, you let out a soft whistle. He looked as good as ever. "Hey, Sammy boy," you chuckled, reaching a clawed hand out. "Come sit down. I haven't seen you in a while."
The tall, inky man let out a hum as he sat on the dock beside you. "I'm sorry about that, little sheep," he murmured. "I... ran into a few problems. I'm fine now, though."
You frowned, resting your head on his lap. "Oh dear," you murmured, lifting your hand up to his face. "At least you're alright now, honey."
Sammy smiled softly as your hand rested on his cheek. "I'll always keep myself intact for you," he hummed softly.
You smiled up at him, your pearly white teeth basically glittering in the dull light. "You'd better," you chuckled, "or I'll find you and personally punch your lights out."
Sammy let out a chuckle, and your smile managed to widen. It sounded like music to your ears.
The two of you laid like that, chatting for a few hours. You stopped, though, when sounds began echoing into the area from the tunnel.
"I'll go check it out," you said softly. Pulling yourself into the water, Sammy watched as you disappeared below the thick, inky black surface.
You peeked your head out of the water once you were close. There was a man on a boat- ink stains covered him all the way up to his head- and the giant hand behind him.
That was all you needed to see. Ducking beneath the surface, you darted back to Sammy. Pulling the human half of your body out, you looked up at Sammy.
"Theres a human," you murmured, "on a boat. You should hide."
You were worried- you never knew what a newcomer could do.
Sammy frowned, reaching for his axe. It took him a momeng to grab it, as it was quite hard to see through his mask. Standing up, he nodded. "I'll be fine," he told you, seemingly reading your mind.
He made his way towards a boarded up room in the back, and you pushed yourself back into the water, surfacing at a back corner.
The man hopped off of the boat, shivering as he gripped the pipe in his hands tightly.
Sammy gripped his axe tightly when he saw the man. He didn't see that it was Henry- through the mask, he could barely see him.
His thoughts rested on Bendy. And thats who he thought he saw. Bendy the Dancing Demon, strolling along like nothing was wrong.
And so he burst from his hiding spot, screaminf the words that were oh so familiar to Henry.
He managed to fight the ink man with ease, knocking his mask off. Sammy let out a yell, stumbling away. "Don't look at me!"
You felt fear grip your heart and you dove into the ink. Was he going to kill Sammy? Pulling yourself out and onto the dock, you wiggled forwards to look.
The man stepped in front of Sammy, causing him to lunge forwards. Sammy grabbed him by the neck, hissing something that you didn't quite register.
No, you were focused on the two that had just crept out from behind the buildings. A Boris and a perfect Alice.
As Sammy threw Henry down to the ground, saying his familiar "sheep sheep sheep..." the Boris began sneaking up on him.
He raised the axe, aiming for Sammy's head.
"NO!" You howled, throwing yourself forwards. Using your hands to pull yourself and your tail to slither.
Everyone turned to you, startled. Distracted, the Boris continued his swing- embedding his axe into Sammy's shoulder.
With a wail of pain, Sammy fell to his knees, gripping his shoulder. The man stood up quickly to avoid being fallen on.
Barely sparing a glance at you, the perfect Alice grabbed the Boris' hand and ran. The man followed, exiting the area.
Gripping onto Sammy, you pressed gentle kisses to his forhead. "You're ok, you're ok, Sammy..."
Gently, you gripped onto the axe, pulling it out. Sammy clenched his jaw, groaning in pain.
"You'll be ok," you whispered. Fear bubbled in your chest. If you had been even just a moment too late...
You didn't have to think about that now. Sammy was ok.
He wouldn't die today.
