You stumbled through the maze, your eyes wide as you made your way to a close safe spot.

Joey's office. You glanced back- Piper was on your heels, a little laugh coming from him as he swung again.

He missed you this time. Thankfully, your leg just hurt- nothing was broken.

Getting inside of the office, you slammed the door shut. Piper tried to get in for a few moments, but soon gave up.

You shivered, taking a step backwards and nearly falling due to the pain. Sitting down, you examined where you had been hit.

It was already bruised, and you knew it would just darken.

A growl sounded from behind you, and you quickly twisted around to look.

It was a massive searcher, posed in an aggressive posture- ready to attack. And the icing on the cake? The mask- Sammy's mask, to be exact.

Sammy Lawrence, your old coworker. The man you had a crush on- who recently almost killed you. Twice.

You had no weapon. Even then- you weren't sure if you could bring yourself to harm him. He had gone through so much...

You scrambled to your feet, wobbling closer to the door. Sammy followed, letting out a groan. You almost opened the door- but someone hit it on the other side.

Damn. It was either Sammy or The Butcher Gang. Sliding down the door, you accepted your death.

You would come back, anyways.

Closing your eyes, you expected pain. But what you got was a mask bumping against your cheek.

Your eyes opened in surprise. Sammy had crawled to rest beside you- and had proceeded to stick his mask against the side of your face.

You couldn't help it. You let out a giggle. In response, Sammy pressed his mask to the front of your face.

A small blush covered your cheeks as you realized what he was doing. Sammy, on the other hand, just gurgled at you.

Momentarily, you wondered if they basically reset memory-wise after dying.

It seemed so. He clambered onto your lap- you didn't mind the ink, they were already completely stained- and pulled you into a hug.

He was... like a big dog that didn't realize they were too big to be a lap dog. He relaxed on top of you, nuzzling his face into the crook of your shoulder.

You had a feeling that you wouldn't be able to move for a few hours.

A/N: one Sammy down, one more to go hehe
