The Time I Got Adopted By Brendon Fucking Urie

"Hey. Get up. You're being adopted." Layla said taking my covers off me. "Get up. Brush your teeth. Get dressed. Pack."

"Fine." I got out of bed and did everything Layla said. I got changed into my Fall Out Boy hoodie then went downstairs and made breakfast.

"Hey. You're getting taken soon. So pack." Miss Jackson mentioned.

"Already did." I said spooning cereal into my mouth.

"Okay. Then go tell Kayla that she's being adopted and moving to New York."

"What!"

"Go tell her." I put my bowl in the sink and ran up to Kayla's room. I knocked on the door and she opened it. I hugged her tight and she looked at me confused.

"What gave you a sudden change of heart?" She asked.

"I'm getting adopted and you are too... but you're moving to New York like Jack did."

"I'm moving to New York! I can't leave you and Jake. When am I leaving?"

"Today. I don't know what time all I know is today."

"I can't leave." She hugged me tight and I started crying. "Ava. Why are you crying?"

"You're leaving me. You're the closest thing I have to family."

"But you'll have an actual family now."

"But I haven't met them. What if they're horrible? What if they're like my mom? What if they beat me and hurt me? I can't go through that again. That's the whole reason I'm a bloody anxious, depressed piece of shit."

"Ava. I'm just as nervous as you. But I'm moving to New York. That's three thousand miles away. Maybe I can find Jack so at least I'll know someone. I'll text and call you and you can even visit but you won't feel alone. I promise. Come on let's go downstairs. You're getting adopted soon. I wanna see who's adopted you." I helped her pack and then we went downstairs.

"Kayla your new dad's here." Miss Jackson said as we walked into the living room. "Meet Mr Easterlin." She walked up to him and he hugged her.

"We're gonna have so much fun." Mr Easterlin mentioned. Kayla let go and ran back over to me.

"You look confused and shocked at the same time." She pointed out.

"I thought his name was familiar. He's the CEO of Fueled By Ramen. You're new dad is the CEO of my favourite record label." I explained. "I'm gonna miss you." I hugged her and she hugged back. "You're the best sister I could've asked for."

"Ava. Your new dads here." Miss Jackson interrupted. I looked over to the door and Brendon was stood there.

"Brendon?" I asked. "You adopted me."

"Yeah. Oh hey Mike." He replied.

"I have a feeling we'll see each other more often than I thought."

"Hey Brendon. Kayla we gotta go. Ava come visit whenever you want." Mike mentioned. "Bye Guys." Kayla gave me one last hug before leaving.

"I'll dm you on instagram. You'll know it's me." I said as she left.

"Come on kiddo. Let's go." Brendon added. "I have a few meetings and interviews today so we gotta go."

"Okay." I grabbed my suitcase and followed him to his car.

"So do you have a phone or a laptop?"

"I do not."

"Let's go shopping then."
