The Time I Went To The FBR Christmas Party

We got back home and I felt so bad for Brendon. He had to deal with my shit and then all the Kenny drama going on now on top of that. He needed a break. I was gonna give it to him. Brendon was playing video games downstairs so I went and sat with him. We took turns playing then it was time for the party. Kenny wasn't allowed to the party but I felt bad for Dean and Victoria since they were probably affected the most.

I got dressed into a black, off the shoulder, skater dress and some tights with a necklace Kayla got me and my signature arm full of bracelets. Brendon knocked on my door so I opened it. He looked pretty pissed off. "Brendon what's up?" I asked softly.

"Kenny said you slept with him." He replied angrily.

"That's not what happened."

"Ava. Did he-"

"No. But he tried to."

"He tried to?"

"Yeah. He started touching me inappropriately but I pushed him off then he got more forceful but I managed to get away."

"You're okay though right?"

"Yeah I'm fine." He looked in my eyes and saw my vulnerability then brought me into a hug.

"You don't deserve everything that's going on."

"Me. What about you? You've had the shittiest month ever. Having to deal with all my bullshit and then the Kenny thing to top it all off. It's terrible. You just need to have a good day or even just a few hours so hurry up. Let's go."

"I'm ready. Are you?"

"Ye- Wait." I grabbed my purse and put my phone, headphones and cigarettes in it. "Now I am." Brendon looked at me weird. "Just in case." He nodded and we left for the party.

When we got to the party I found Kayla and Jack who were waiting for me outside. "Hey Ava." Kayla said hugging me.

"Hey Kay." I replied. I let go of Kayla and Jack hugged me. I was slightly suspicious of why they were hugging me so much. "Guys why are you hugging me like that?"

"No reason. None at all." Jack added.

"Guys what happened?" I asked.

"Nothing." Jack linked arms with Kayla and I. "Let's go." We walked in and greeted everyone.

Time skip
"Where's Harley?" I asked Ethan when I realised I hadn't seen him all night.

"I don't know." He replied looking around. "Ava let's go get some food." He grabbed my hand and dragged me over to the food.

"What's going on with everyone today? I just wanna see my friend."

"We don't want you to get hurt."

"Why would I get hu-" Ethan spun me around and pointed at two people. Harley and another girl. No way. Zoey. Zoey was with Harley. "Zoey?"

"Oh my god Ava!" She said running over. She hugged me so tight and I hugged her back. "It's been too long. I've missed you so much."

"I missed you too." Harley walked over and put his arm around Zoey.

"Ava. I'm guessing you already know each other. Um... Zoey is. She's um... My girlfriend." He said quietly. My heart sank in my chest but the smile didn't change from my face.

"That's awesome. Two of my favourite people dating. Just like when Kayla and Jack started dating." I said still smiling. "Um I need to find Brendon." I walked off and removed the fake smile from my face. "Dad can I, you know?"

"Yeah come on." Brendon replied. He walked with me and I followed him. We got outside and I lit a blunt. "What's up?"

"Everything happening at once." I replied.

"What happened?"

"I just saw Zoey for the first time in like a year. Now all this happens and I'm just confused."

"Okay I'm still confused. What exactly happened?"

"Okay so all night I've been looking for Harley because you know he's my best friend. Everyone was acting different around me and like pulling me away at random moments. Then Ethan told me that they 'didn't want me to get hurt' so I asked why and then he spun me around and boom. Harley dancing with Zoey. Then Zoey came over and we said our hello's then Harley told me they were dating. Then I found you and now we're here." I looked over to Brendon who was sipping his drink and avoiding eye contact. "You knew didn't you." He nodded slowly and I put my blunt out. "I'm gonna go enjoy my night." I put some gum in my mouth then went back into the venue.

Time skip
It was the end of the party and surprisingly no one was drunk. We got home and I went on my computer. "I guess I have to get Zoey something more." I said as Brendon walked into the office.

"You got any ideas?"

"She has a record player and she's always saying how much she wants this certain record but she can't find it anywhere."

"Which would be?"

"52nd street by Billy Joel."

"I have like four copies of that you can give her one of those."

"Thanks Brendon. I'm gonna get some sleep. I have a lot of presents to wrap tomorrow."

Time skip
I woke up really early, made cereal and started wrapping. I started with Brendon's since he was still asleep and then went and put them under the tree. I then wrapped everyone else's and decided that it was 12 and Brendon should be awake by now. I went over to his room and knocked on the door but no one answered. I opened the door and he wasn't in there. I then went downstairs and he was no where to be found. Then I went to the place I should've checked first. The studio.

I went over to the studio and knocked on the door. I heard some shuffling then the door opened. "Morning darling." He said hugging me.

"Morning Dad. How many presents you got left to wrap?" I asked.

"One. All the rest are done and under the tree."

"How did I not notice?"

"I don't know. I'll be right back in the house when I've finished. Can you make some coffee please?"

"Yeah sure."

"Thanks angel."

"No problem." I went back inside and made coffee.

By the time it was made Brendon had finished wrapping and put his last present under the tree. I poured us both coffee and handed him one while I went and sat on the couch. We played video games for a few hours so it was really chill for Christmas Eve.

After a few hours of playing video games Sarah came over and we decided to watch movies. We watched polar express, elf and a few other random hallmark movies then I went to bed.
