We got to my childhood home and it hadn't changed a bit. My room was exactly the same from when I was 9. My Polaroid wall was still up with pictures of me and all my friends. Well I was nine and probably forgot about most of them.
"Hey Ava. Is that Ryan, Brendon and Spencer?" He asked pointing at a picture on my wall. I walked over to it and nodded.
"Yeah. This was taken in 2007. I was only two or three." I replied taking it off the wall. On the back in my dad's handwriting it said 'Ava's third birthday with uncle Brendon, uncle Ryan and uncle Spencer'. In the picture I was being carried and hugged by Ryan and the other two were making stupid faces. I laughed at the picture then put it in a box which was already full of pictures. "I think I'm gonna take these home to add to my wall." I took them down then walked over to my bed. "Oh my god! Donkey!" I picked up the frayed, deflated teddy and hugged it tight.
"Ava. That's a bunny."
"I was two don't judge me."
"Okay. Let me see." I handed him the teddy and he smiled at it. "This is adorable. It's also huge so like tiny you walking around with it would be adorable."
"Okay. You can give him back."
"Why would I?"
"Because my mom bought it me and I never met her." He handed it back and hugged me. "You don't need to hug me."
"But I want to so I will."
"Get off me."
"Nope."
"Please."
"Never."
"Harley Aiden Miller-Iero let go of me."
"Ava-Jay Urie I will not."
"Okay Harley actually get off me."
"No."
"Jax, Harley won't get off me!"
"Ava, kick him in the balls!" He replied. That made him got off me real quick.
"Why didn't I think of that? Oh yeah because I'm not that mean." I added. "I would never kick you in the balls. I would chop your dick off though." He looked at me horrified and I just laughed. "I would never hurt you." He lay back on my bed and grabbed something from under my pillow. Shit! I grabbed it from him and hid it behind me.
"Hey! Why can't I read it?" He asked.
"Because. I might have took this to LA and still write in it."
"Now I really wanna read it."
"Harley. No."
"Ava. Yes." He grabbed it from behind me and ran away. I didn't feel like chasing him so I climbed out my window and sat on my roof like I used to.
A few minutes later
"Ava?" Harley asked walking into my room. "Ava where are you?"
"Out here." I replied quietly hoping he didn't hear me. Sadly he did. He climbed out and sat next to me.
"Look. I didn't read much. Just the mental health bits. Are you really losing your will to live?"
"Harley that was written months ago." I grabbed the notebook from him and flipped to where I said I was losing my will to live. "If you go a few pages before it's the kiss. This was like a week after the kiss. I was losing my will to live because I was lonely. I had all these friends and family but I still felt lonely. I wanted to be with you, but you didn't make the move. I felt like a worthless piece of shit. And sometimes I still do. Then you got with Zoe. All the guys knew and at the Christmas party they were dragging me away to protect me. So I wouldn't get hurt. Out of all the people in the world you got with my ex best friend. Zoe might have been my best friend but she was always a self centred bitch. She didn't care about me. She just got me food because she spent lunch with me since she had no-one else to spend it with. We never spoke outside of school yet her brother and I were best friends. I can't tell you who to date but she's not right for you."
"I'm not gonna sit here and listen to you talk bad about not only my girlfriend but yourself. This is a new low. Even for you." He left the roof and I just sat there. I didn't cry. I didn't scream I just sat there in silence hoping the ground would swallow me whole.
When I finally realised that I was stuck on this earth, I went back into my room. Harley was sat on the floor playing guitar so I walked past him, threw all the stuff I had on my bed and went downstairs into the living room. I turned the tv on and put a show on Netflix.
The next day
I woke up in my bed after having a horrible nightmare. I curled up in a ball and sat in the corner of my bed. I noticed that there was a blow up mattress on the floor with blankets but no-one was there. I grabbed my phone and it said 10:30 so I went downstairs. "Morning Ava." Jax said as I got into the kitchen.
"Morning Jax. Where's Harley?" I asked.
"He went for a walk. He said he'd be back soon."
"Okay." He handed me a plate of bacon and toast and I finished it before going upstairs and getting changed. I looked everywhere in my room but I couldn't find the notebook. I ran back downstairs and found Jax. "When Harley left did he have a black notebook with him?"
"Yeah why?"
"Fuck!" I went back upstairs and lay face down on my bed. He's gonna read it all. I can't even practice guitar and singing since all my songs are in the back. I lay there for a few minutes before I heard the front door open and someone come upstairs. Harley threw the notebook at me then sat on the bed next to me. He grabbed my arm and pulled my sleeve up.
"You promised. Not only me but Brendon. What's he gonna say?" He asked.
"Nothing. He doesn't care. No-one does." I replied not moving.
"I ca-"
"No. You don't.
"Yes I do. I really do. And if you can't see that then it's your own fault."
"How is this my fault? I'm not the one in a relationship with a self-centred cheating bitch. She doesn't love you. She's using you. She did that to everyone. Every guy she's ever dated she's cheated on. Don't say I didn't warn you when it happens."
"It's not gonna happen!"
"It already has!"
"No it hasn't. You know what maybe I shouldn't have been the supportive friend I am. Maybe I should just go home." He left the room and Jax walked in.
"Jax what's wrong?" I was scared to death of what he was gonna reply.
"Dad. H-he died." He replied. That's the last thing that I heard before I blacked out.
