[Chapter Twenty-Seven]

Everyone seemed to be at a lost after Regulus' departure with Nyx, seeing as they didn't know what was going to unfold in their absence. Nyx didn't appear upset with him, more so relieved that Regulus had returned, but at the same time, she had left him in the Elysian Fields and he had left without telling her. Was he going to face trouble for it? Was he going to be able to remain alive or was he going to have to venture to the Underworld? It was a lot to take in and Elspeth, while reassured by those around her that she wasn't the one to blame for what had taken place in their lives, she still didn't look fully convinced. There was a distraught look in her eyes as she nodded her head to the words Sirius whispered in her ear, trying to get her to snap out of it.

Milo turned to Cedric, unsure of what the hell were they supposed to do after everything they had just witnessed and been through? Were they supposed to waltz back up to the castle and pretend that nothing had happened? Milo knew very well that he wasn't going to get away with something like that, not with his mother around who was probably worried out of her mind after what had happened. But at the same time, Milo was so tired, exhausted by the overwhelming amount of information, not to mention all the energy he had exerted while in the cave, trying to stay alive.

Letting out a tired yawn, the adults in the room along with the Gods all turned to face him, leaving to stop mid-way and quickly close his mouth.

"Maybe you two should get some rest," Elspeth suggested in a quiet voice, "we can return you to the castle during the night, it'll bring in less attention that way. I can get you two back into the dorms through the shadows and we can just claim that we were dealing with family issues. That way it's no one's business, alright?"

"El's right, " Sirius chimed in, " you two look like you could use some rest and there isn't anything to be done while we figure out what Nyx is going to do with...with Regulus. You two should get some sleep. Feel free to use our place or Cedric, you can just go back to your place too, Madam Rosmerta has been keeping the place in good condition while you've been in school. Artemis can inform Minnie that you're both alright."

Milo wasn't sure if it was best not to inform his mother himself that he was alright, but he wasn't looking for an argument either. He simply gave a nod of his head, feeling the droopiness of his eyelids as they were growing heavier by the second. Cedric reached out and grabbed his hand, leading him towards the door. He also seemed quite unsure at the moment that it was best for them to just go off and rest, but he didn't argue either as they both ventured outside.

While it was nice for Sirius to invite them to go to his and Elspeth's place, Cedric knew that Silas was there and while they didn't have a problem with him at all, they both weren't up to answering the probably hundred questions that he was more than likely going to throw at them. And the idea of returning to his own place seemed much more inviting at the time. Pulling Milo along, the two of them remained relatively quiet, which was so unnatural for Milo and left Cedric uncomfortable.
