Trigger Warning

"Here's your change. Please come again!" Yoongi beamed at the last customer. He let out a breath as he walked towards the sign to change it from 'Open' to 'Closed.'

"Another successful day at the bakery," Yoongi praised. He never would've thought that this bakery would be a hit in this town. 'It was either the pastries or his handsome face that they came for,' he would say.

Yoongi spent a lot of time and money on this place which makes him even more happy that it's doing well since he worked so hard for it.

Ever since he was a child, he grew a love for baking all thanks to his grandmother. She'd be in the kitchen making desserts, pastries, anything delicious; Yoongi would be sitting on a stool, watching her, and he loved every second of it. Unfortunately, his grandma passed away during Yoongi's second year of high school, but that didn't stop him from pursuing his dream to become a baker.

As soon as he finished high school, Yoongi went to culinary school, and majored in Baking and Pastry up until he graduated a couple years later.

He, a fresh graduate, decided to come back to his hometown open up a little bakery. Yoongi thought that this bland town needed something fresh, and something sweet — it needed a sweet spot which is what he eventually named the bakery.

Everything in this bakery follows his grandma's recipes in honor of her, and some pastries using his own. The first week was a bit slow, but it eventually started to blow up thanks to a school girls' blog about a 'handsome baker working in a bakery called Sweet Spot.'

He'd see a bunch of teenage girls come in and out of the shop to, of course, buy treats, and have a little treat by meeting the handsome baker. Yoongi liked the attention it gave to the bakery, but he felt a little bit weirded out sometimes with these girls doing all they  just to see him. He was still thankful for it though.

It was one of those nights again where he'd just be in the kitchen preparing and cleaning for the next day. He'd bake a couple of cookies for himself if he felt like it, and he felt like it. When Yoongi pulled out the fresh batch of cookies out of the oven, he heard the bell chime at the door, meaning that someone came in which made him rush out of the kitchen.

"I'm sorry, but we're cl-" He stood there, stunned at the little girl who was standing right by the door. She sported a gray coat; oddly, there was dirt smeared across her face; and her eyes and nose were red as roses.

His heart dropped at the sight. Putting down his things, he walks over to the child.

"Hey kid, what brings you here? Where are your parents?"

The child looked up at him with teary eyes, and started to cry loudly which made him flinch. Yoongi kneeled in front of her, and pulled her into a hug as a way to comfort the poor girl. "Hey, hey. It's okay. Shh, don't cry."

He epically failed at trying to calm her down by speaking, so instead he tells her that if she could hold in her tears, she would get a cookie in return. "If you stop crying, oppa will give you a cookie. Hm? How does that sound?" She wiped away her tears with her small hands, and hummed in response.

After that, Yoongi helped her sit on a tall stool near the counter and grabs a freshly, baked cookie from the baking sheet in the kitchen. Once he passed it to her, she ate it to her delight while sniffling every now and then. When she was done, Yoongi brought a bottle of water for the girl as she looked a bit parched.

"Now that you've eaten, do you mind telling me your name?" He asked kindly to avoid silence. The little girl wiped her nose with her sleeve and said, "Dahni."
