Hey guys! Just wanted to say hope you all enjoy this chapter it's morning now and I'm tired but to thank you guys for everything I'll be updating another chapter soon so look forward to that. Thanks guys for 3.5k!!!! What!!! Think I'm gonna go die. I can't believe this!
Pressing my hands to my temples, I tried to stop my headache. It was Saturday morning, and I woke up with it but, now here I was after an entire hour and I believe it turned into a migraine. I just laid on the couch in our living room watching Friends on Netflix. I know that when you feel sick you should just sleep but, I could not no matter how hard I tried, it was just eerily quiet except for the few cars passing by. Suddenly, the light in the kitchen flickered on.
"Miss, is that you?" Nikki cautiously asked.
"Yes Nikki,'' I groaned.
"What are you doing up so early, it's barely five o'clock. You ok?"
I shook my head and almost immediately, she stood beside me and began feeling my face, to see if I had a temperature.
"I just have a headache," I said, covering my face with a pillow and pushing down trying to stop the pain.
"Oh dear, don't worry. Let me make you some breakfast. What would you like?"
"French toast?"
Hastily, she returned to the kitchen where she began preparing my breakfast. Instead of just watching Friends and waiting for her to finish, I turned off the television and went to help her.
"You should go and rest, I'll see about this,"
"It's ok, I want to help,"
"You sure?"
"Yes," I confirmed.
I washed my hands and made the egg batter, dipped the bread into it and then handed it to Nikki to fry. Soon we were laughing and, she decided to bring a certain person into our conversation.
"So how did your 'date' go?" she said stressing on the word date.
"It was ok. I had a good time," I replied smiling.
"Sure not a great time? I heard the two of you laughing by the door from upstairs."
I swear, she acts like a teenager with me and most defiantly not like my 'mother', even though she was supposed too. I told her everything and when I had finished, she smiled and said five little words that caused me to stand with my mouth open.
"I think he likes you," she said with a huge grin plastered on her face.
I stood there staring like a deer that was about to get hit by a car. I'm sure I would have stayed like that and drool would have eventually fallen out of my mouth if Nikki hadn't asked me about Nate.
Thinking about him, I wondered. If you begin to forget about your first crush and now you only see him as a friend, what does that mean? Did it mean I didn't like Nate anymore? Deciding to ask her, she responded with such an answer that it made me rethink everything.
"Well dear, it just means someone else is capturing your heart all over again. But, if you really and truly like Brandon, ensure that he would always be there to catch you when you fall, especially if it is, in love with him."
Giving her a quick hug, I ate my breakfast, took my painkillers and supplements and finally returned to the couch where I dozed off.
Hope you like it. Love you guys :) =)
xoxo
Shy.
