Hey guys sorry for no update on Wednesday but I had no Internet so I couldn't do anything about that. Please forgive any mistakes in this chapter I'm really tired and I wrote this at 1:30 this morning. I would have updated sooner but I was busy plus there was football :)
He stared at me with a look of pure disbelief on his face. He seemed to be thinking of something to say but I really and truly just wanted to leave.
"I'm so sorry Belle. I didn't know,"
"It's ok,"
He then reached over to give me a hug but I pulled away at the last second.
"What's wrong? You ok?" he questioned.
I looked at him and wondered if he was fricking serious right now.
"No, I'm not. There's something I don't understand, my cousin saved your life and you-"
Brandon tried to say something but I held up my hand signaling him to stop and then continued. That moment I did not care how I looked to him, stock up or whatever, I just needed to get this out of me. I was angry and I could not believe someone could be so inhumane about this.
"And you didn't even bother to check and see if she was alright? That was pretty selfish of you if you ask me. I mean, a girl died for your brother and you might not even give her any thought at all."
He looked at me as if I had just taken a knife, stabbed him in the heart and the twisted it, to ensure he felt the maximum amount of pain. His eyes were wide and he looked sort of pissed and taken aback I spoke in that manner. Little did I know just how much my words hurt him but soon afterwords I felt terrible. I stood and hastily made my way towards the door but I stiffened when I heard what he said next.
"Just so you know, I do think about her,"
"I'm sorry, I should not have said that, any of it," I quickly apologized.
"You were correct, my family and I never really thought of it like that."
"Still, I was out of line,"
I opened the door and walked into the humid night. A gentle wind blew the end of my dress in the night breeze. Suddenly someone called me.
"Belle, wait!" the voice screamed out at me. I turned and running towards me was Brandon.
"I'm sorry too. I should have never acted that was. I'm sorry I ruined your evening by making you upset, not carrying you to a proper dinner and not complimenting you. Speaking of which, you look absolutely stunning tonight, just like always. What I'm not sorry for though is, comforting you, making you laugh, playing video games with you and seeing your beautiful smile. To make it up to you, I would like to walk you home because there are all sorts of crazy people at this time and I don't want anything to hurt you."
I stared at him while he was saying all those things and with each passing second, my face turned redder and redder. Thank heavens it was dark otherwise he would have seen my red hot cheeks and me standing there smiling like a loon. I agreed and while the two of us walked, we talked and all the time we were laughing and smiling. No arguments or disagreements just two if us, with the time passing by quickly.
Finally, I arrived in my apartment building, we said our goodbyes and I locked the door and quietly scrambled up the stairs. Plopping unto my bed, in an instant I fell into a deep slumber.
