Falling for Him

Chapter 28

Nate's POV

"She said she'll be here in a while," Mary said taking a bite out of her cupcake.

                        

We were at Alegería, waiting for Belle to arrive and just as I looked towards the entrance there she stood. Walking towards us, her eyes sparkled and a wide smile appeared on her face. We talked for a while then sat by the fountain.

I wanted to know desperately how her date went and thankfully I didn't have to ask, as Mary had already done so. Belle's smile dropped a little then, as if realizing what she did, she quickly smiled bigger than before and told us about her date.

Soon, I found out that the jerk made her cry and upset and I could not have hated him more. How dare he make my Belle cry!

"Belle what do you see in him?" I questioned.

It looked as if she thought about it for a while then replied something along the lines of he was really sweet and caring. To me he was a heartless guy and all I wanted to do was hit him with a shovel in the head, was  that so wrong of me? Looking at her, I noticed something different.

Was it in the way she spoke about him? How her face brightened talking about him? Who knew. There are some things that best friends can spot with each other and one of those things is being able to tell if the other was in love. I could tell she was and, I was happy for her, even if it is with shovel face.

I pulled her into a hug and I could smell the sweet smell of mango on her, since that was her favourite body spray. She hugged me close and I could feel her heart beating along with mine.       

We stayed like that for a while no one daring to let the other go until, we were interrupted by Jasmine telling us to get a room. We laughed but sure enough we broke the hug.

Belle wanted to go to Painter's Palette and it was then I saw a beautiful Disney braclet on display in the store opposite the one she was in. I made my way over there so I check it out when I thought I glimpsed Brandon entering the store Belle was in. My mind must have been playing tricks on me since I knew Brandon didn't like art then it struck me, Belle was there.

"Is that all Sir?" The saleswoman asked.

"Yes please."

She swiped my card and smiled as the purchase was confirmed.

"There you go. I'm sure your girlfriend would love it,"

I didn't tell her that it was just for a friend but instead grabbed the box and left to meet Belle.

I saw her standing there talking to Brandon and James and I knew something was up but, when I asked her she said everything was ok. After leaving the mall and I walked her home, where I lightly kissed her cheek before she left. I didn't know what made me do it but I just did and I have to admit it felt so great.

''Did she think anything about that 'kiss'?'' my mind asked over and over.

Turning to leave, I patted the tiny box in my right pocket and I could not wait to surprise her with my little gift on her seventeenth birthday.

Hey guys what's up so my first week of school was so busy and it would only get worse but I updated today for you guys and I hope you like this chapter.  I had to write this like three times since my others got deleted so....

Anyway I hope you enjoy and thanks for reading my story. It means the world to me.

Ohh guys today is the 7th September and guess what TODAY'S MY BIRTHDAY! Ahhh I'm 15 today
