"You two get a room!" Jasmine said walking towards us.

Instantly, I broke the warm, tight hug and looked at the floor feeling embarrassed. Nate nudged my arm a little and smiled at me. I felt his arm against mine but, unlike when I was with Brandon, it just felt normal, no sparks, no anything. It was like being with a friend, just a comforting feeling. With Brandon, I felt euphoric, like I was high and just always different. It was like I forever had up this guard, this wall, surrounding me and for the first time in forever, I was slowly letting it down for someone other than my family, friends and Nate. Now, it was Brandon who made the wall come crumbling down around me and I have to say, it feels better, maybe because, I might be in love with someone.

It was as if all the feelings I felt for Nate, were being transferred to Brandon. Little by little, I was slowly letting go of my liking in that way towards Nate and ultimately, falling head over heels in love with Brandon. Watching Nate laughing with Mary, somehow did not send butterflies scrambling inside my stomach anymore. It did not send my heart beating as if I just won a marathon. It did not make me nervous, wondering what would happen if I messed up our friendship.

Seeing him smile, instead made me think of how right this feels. How he's my best friend and I would not want to risk all that. It showed me just how I felt towards him and, how he was like my brother. He was the one to comfort me when I had a bad day, help and protect me. Most of all, seeing him there, showed me just perfect that moment was. However, it also made me notice just how much I cared for Brandon.

"Belle, Belle," someone said shaking me.

"Wha-"

"You were daydreaming or something. We wanted to know if you were coming with us to the games place." Mary replied.

"No, sorry. I have to get something for Nikki,"

"Ohh, ok. Well see you later then!" they shouted before walking in the direction of Gamerz, one of the biggest gaming stores in the entire mall. I smiled then turned, only to hit someone.

"Nate," I groaned.

"Sorry Belle,"

"It's ok," I shrugged, turning to Artist's Palette, one of the art stores.

"What do you need in there?" he questioned.

"This morning, I was sick and Nikki helped me feel better so, I wanted to buy her a thank you gift. You know how much she likes art."

"That's sweet but, are you feeling better? What happened? You sure you're feeling better?" he immediately asked.

"Yea, I'm sure. Calm down,"

Walking into Artist's Palette, the scent of paint greeted me and I quickly found what I was looking for. I knew that place like the back of my hand since I visited there at least once a week. I picked up a watercolour paint set for Nikki, since recently, I noticed she was painting with quite a bit of those and some sketching pencils for me. Walking to the cashier, I could not wait to see the expression on her face when I gave her the gifts.

She loved art and so did I, resulting in a lot of our time, just being in the art room, letting our imagination run wild for hours upon hours.

I paid, collected my bag but when I turned, I hit someone again.

"Nate, why do you always stand so close to me that, when I turn I always hit you?" I began but quickly stopped when I realized who it was.

"Hey Belle, I was going to ask you something later but since you are here now, what better time, right?" the voice began.
