"This is so fucking stupid" I groan as a I walk though a doorway fit for a giant. Or maybe just Zion, I wouldn't know.

This taller man with olive skin and long, wavy brown hair claps his hands together as he walks out into the room Hanna and I just entered. "Ah Abigail, your enthusiasm is overwhelming"

I roll my hazel eyes as he and Hanna get into what looks like a long awaited, meaningful embrace.

"I missed you" I hear her mumble against his neck, making me cringe. Whatever he replied was inaudible from where I am standing.

Once they pull away from each other, he looks at me with amusement running wild in his eyes.

"What?"

He laughs and Hanna goings in, making me assume that I'm in the middle of the joke.

"I'm surprised she doesn't remember you"

I widen my eyes and look back to him, scanning my memory for anything to do with a handsome, tall man. Since we all apparently had some sort of association, I'm assuming that we knew each other in high school, so I mentally justify my forgetfulness by telling myself that I only forgot who this guy is because I had a whole fucking lot going on in my life at that point.

He shrugs, "if she thinks any harder her brain will probably explode" he walks closer to me and wraps his left arm around my shoulders, "we hardly spoke anyway, I was a dork"

A lightbulb goes off in my head and I have to force myself to step away and look at him before I believe it.

"Holy shit, Caleb?"

"That'd be me"

Caleb was one of those kids at school that have glasses, play video games and are super smart academically but they're awful in sports. The stereotypical nerd.

Talk about a glow up.

I never really spoke to him, and confusion arrises as to how he and Hanna are so close when they never really spoke either.

"Guys, I know catching up is fun and all but we need to, ya know, hurry"

"Right right right, now Hanna, your dress is here in the back"

Hanna lets out a strange noise similar to a squeak as he leads us back behind the main area of this studio looking place.

He grabs a dress and a smile widely when I see the design of it. It's sparkly all over, and it's similar to something you'd expect someone famous to wear to an event.

I mentally face palm when I remember that Hanna is in fact a B list celebrity, and she is in fact going to something that classifies as an event.

She walks into the change rooms to try it on, and Caleb looks to be with a grin.

"You know I don't want to be here right?"

He laughs lightly under his breath, "I could tell, but Hanna told me that this is for a boyfriend of the sorts and not
only you, so I suggest we make an effort"

The thought of Edwin causes my lips to curve upwards and I'm left with no option then to reply with, "you're right, but I still don't want to be here"

"That doesn't matter, as long as you're trying. Now, the dress selection that we have are all green, you're okay with that yeah?" I nod, "Okay, so we have a selection of five. First off, and definitely the most out there of them all, the gorgeous glittery green one"

He grabs this dress from the hanger and I cringe at the thought of wearing it, so clearly it's not the one for me. I don't tell him this.

"Next up we have this gorgeous velvet one, it will definitely stick to your curves which is amazing since this is all for your boyfriend"
