-Naomi's View-
I walked through Joark, which appeared to be abnormally quiet. I knocked upon doors, but with no luck. Finally, I reached the town's church.
If there's anyone, they would surely be in here.
I opened the door slowly, scanning the area. There was a huddled group of villagers in the corner of the church, cowering in fear. One pointed at me.
"Look it's an exorcist! She's here to save us!"
"Save you? From akuma?" I questioned, closing the door to the church as I walked in.
"I don't know what aku-mees are but there's these weird creatures in town, and most of the time they're quiet, they lie down completely still in our homes, in our beds, and they have this human-esque appearance to them. But," he paused to take a breath, "Sometimes a man strolls into town, he's somewhat taller than you, and he doesn't have a weapon, but he doesn't need it. He just snaps his fingers, walking through the town, smiling, and they all wake up, and transform into monsters."
My eyes widened. "Tell me more about this man. What does he look like?"
"He always shows up wearing a coat kind of like yours, except instead of that symbol right there on your coat," he pointed at the Black Order symbol, "It's just this symbol of a bunch of circles. And the colors are different. His coat consisted of the colors purple and grey rather than white and black."
"No no! I mean his structure! How tall is he, is he slender or pudgy, weak or strong build, young or old, does he have a limp, a lisp, or something that you could identify without seeing?!" my composure began to slip as a terrifying memory slipped it's way back into my brain.
"Well um," the villager scratched the back of his head nervously, "He's like a head taller than you, and he's not too thin, nor too thick, which means he has a excellent, strong build, and uh.." the villager trailed off looking behind me.
Curious I turned around, facing the one person I hoped I wouldn't see.
"Been some time hasn't it, Naomi?" the man smirked, walking towards me at his own pace, knowing I would stay where I was, in shock. "Aw, you're going to ignore your dear Matt, are you Naomi?"
He grinned evilly as he reached me, placing his hand over my hand wrapped around my staff, assuring I wouldn't attack. He put his mouth close to my ear, whispering lowly. "Don't you miss me, love?" He smiled wider as I refused to respond. "I did miss you, how much you claimed to love me."
"Shut up," I whispered angrily.
"I'm sorry Naomi, I'm afraid I'm a little hard of hearing today. You'll have to talk louder," he whispered into my ear.
"I said shut the hell up!" I broke away from his grasp, swinging my staff for his face, missing by a hair as Matt backed up slightly.
"Why? Because you're devastated that your first lover was secretly a Noah, no one, not even you knew about? Because I up and left you one day without warning, and when I returned, destroying the town we loved each other in with hordes of level five's, I offered you no compensation?!" Matt smiled in a sinister way.
"Fuck you, you damn bastard," I spat, losing my calm state completely, closing my eyes, and swinging my staff, each time missing by a centimeter.
"You always were too slow to keep up with me Naomi," Matt commented.
"I just have one question to ask you, Matthew Tate, if that's really your name," my eyes clouded over, hidden under the hood of Allen's coat. "Was it all just manipulation?"
