My silent rest state was punctured sometime around eight in the morning by a swift rapping on the door followed by Kanda's typical cold voice.
"Midget. Hurry and get up, I don't have all day."
My eyes opened immediately as I got up. "Yeah yeah, give me a minute grumpy pants." I changed to my uniform, woke up Mayakashi, and placed my backpack on my back, taking my staff in hand as Mayakashi nuzzled peacefully on my head, going back to sleep. I cracked a smile. "You little shit."
I opened the door to my room, revealing the ever-impatient Kanda who was tapping his foot. "Hurry up, I have to go back to headquarters with you, get whatever you're supposed to get from Bak so we can go."
I nodded to acknowledge him, the two of us heading to Bak's office. We walked in, finding said Head of the branch looking at photos we couldn't quite see. Upon seeing us he yelped, nearly dropping his photos. "W-what brings you two here?" he said as nonchalantly as he could, placing the photos facedown.
"We're about to head back to European branch, I need to get the item from you though," I informed.
"Oh yes that!" Bak stood up, almost hitting his knee on the desk. He searched through his drawers until he found a strange black box locked up with several chains. "Do not open it."
"What..is it?" I asked, taking it in my hands.
Bak shrugged. "I actually don't know. It's Komui who wanted it."
"Oh." I examined the box the best I could without opening it.
"Is that it? Let's go," Kanda interrupted.
"Goodbye! Naomi and Yuuuuuu~" Bak sang, seemingly to bother Kanda as Kanda left with an annoyed mark on his face.
"That guy really is a baka," Kanda muttered, leading the way out of the Order. Once we were farther out Kanda calmed down. "How've you been on sleep?" he questioned, looking ahead.
"Che. As if it's any of your business," I mimicked, a smirk finding it's way onto my face.
Kanda rolled his eyes. "Che."
I gave out a short laugh. "There you are again Sir Che's of Che-sington."
"Shut up," he groaned.

A few hours later when it was only barely beginning to get dark I noticed Kanda walking with a bit of drowsiness in his step. "There's an inn nearby. We can stop there," I suggested.
He nodded, too tired to be stubborn. "Where is it?"
"A little farther down," I said. Almost as if on cue the same dock, tavern, and inn came into view. "See?" He only gave a small nod in response as we walked side-by-side now. Once we were closer we entered the inn.
"Oh hey! You again!" the desk lady greeted.
"Yes, me again," I replied, internally groaning. "We just need a room."
"Aw, are you two lovers?" she chuckled.
"N-no," I stuttered, my face turning a deep shade of pink. "Not like a room to share I mean like one room per person."
Kanda remained stoic. "We just need the rooms, or we'll go somewhere else."
I elbowed Kanda. "Shut up," I whispered.
"Oh. That's a shame you two looked so adorable I thought you were together. Anyway, here's two rooms, free for members of the Black Order," the desk lady smiled once more.
I took my key, placing it in my pocket. "Do you happen to have any coffee here?"
She shook her head. "Afraid not, check the tavern, they might have some."
