-Third Person View-
He didn't want to admit it, not even to himself, but he couldn't stop himself from feeling it. Her presence, her touch. Kanda glanced at her quickly, she was awake, her head resting on his left arm. She seemed to be in thought of who-knows-what.
He closed his eyes, remembering last night. Why had he done that? He had pulled Naomi close to him, inhaled the natural scent from her as if it were the cure for death. He even went so far as to fall asleep cuddled up next to her.
Then just earlier today, seeing Shortstack sitting by her..it bothered him. He was uncontrollably angry, and to keep himself from chopping Shortstack's head off his shoulders, walked to the other side of the station. Then she had come up to him, stupid girl, almost fell to the ground, but for his concern.
He was better now, felt more..happy with her so close to him, but to keep his appearance, he wouldn't pull her closer, as close as he could. Still, he couldn't suppress the feelings rising slowly for her.
In a different part of the world, Matthew Tate, the Noah of Deception sat grudgingly at a table full of Noahs for breakfast.
"If you had told me about this sooner Lord Millennium I would've brought my girl with me," he scowled. "Instead of her all over Yu Kanda."
Tyki grinned. "I don't blame her. The Noah of Deception makes her fall in love with him and then he destroys the whole town."
"Shut up you blubbering fool!" Matt threw his cup of water onto Tyki's face. "I was only following the Lord Millennium's orders destroying the town, as the faithful Noah I am."
"Alright that's enough you two. Settle down," Lord Millennium soothed. "The only reason I didn't tell you about breakfast Matthew was because I want to see your girlfriend at dinner, and no time earlier."
Tyki moved his wet hair out of his face. "Yeah so calm down a little Matt."
"If you two are done arguing I could really use your help with my homework," Road interrupted.
"Yes yes. Hand it to me," Matt held out his hand for Road's notebook which she gladly gave to him. He hastily solved math problems, the calculations easy for him to do in his head, but he wanted to have a little fun. A few minutes later he handed it back to Road.
"Here you are."
"Thanks Matt, you're really a--hey these are all seven!" Road groaned.
"Yes it's a delightful number don't you think?" Matt grinned.
"These are all wrong!"
"Yes, I'm pretty sure the answer is twelve," Tyki confirmed.
"You guys are so mean," Road complained.
Back on the train to headquarters, Naomi was on the brink of sleep, Kanda thankfully warning her just in time. He nudged her.
"You're going to get a nightmare," he warned.
"Kanda," Naomi groaned.
"What now?" he turned to look at her.
She got off of him slowly, leaving him to internally pout. "Go get me something to eat, I'm starving."
An annoyed mark appeared on Kanda's forehead. "I'm not your servant."
"But I can't even stand up," Naomi argued.
"Fine," he gave in, standing up. "What do you want?"
She shrugged. "Anything I'm just hungry."
Allen shot up from his sleeping state. "Someone mentioned hungry. I'm hungry."
