After running out of the tavern we hid behind the inn for an hour as the owners searched in vain for us. Cross chuckled in amusement but my mindset was still focused on what I had seen.
It couldn't have been real could it? I've just been thinking too much and I haven't had good sleep. That's what it has to be.
"Here," Cross said, holding out Mayakashi to me. "He knows how to get to the Asian branch now, and back to the European branch. All you have to do is ask him." Cross ruffled my hair, not unlike the way a parent would. "Perhaps we'll meet again Naomi."
With that said he ran off, not waiting for any response I might've had. Mayakashi flew from my hand, cuddling onto my head again. I smiled. "I suppose we should probably get a good night's sleep before we go."
I walked back into the inn, waving at the desk lady once more before entering my room, locking the door behind me. I changed to the cotton kimono I had left on the bed, setting Mayakashi down on the windowsill. The human-like golem yawned before easily falling into a peaceful sleep. Following suit with the golem I lied down on the bed, closing my eyes, entering rest state.
The first five hours of the rest were silent but thirty minutes into the sixth hour of sleep I wavered in between the rest state and sleeping state, jolting up every few minutes. Eventually I gave up trying to go back to sleep when I woke up with my heart racing for the seventh time.
I took deep breaths to calm down, looking at Mayakashi who was still sleeping well. Quietly, I got up from the bed, taking out a book about theories for dreams as well as a pencil and notepad.
"Theory..God..message..." I looked at what I had wrote, crossing it out. "No. There's got to be something else to this." I stayed awake for hours until the sun started to shine through the window. I sighed, placing everything back in my backpack before changing to my uniform, folding up my kimono neatly. Mayakashi woke up a few minutes later as I was strapping my staff to my backpack once more so I'd have my hands free enough to read the map.
The golem fluttered around right by me. "Mayakashi." I said as an afterthought, folding away the map and taking out my staff. "Lead me to the Black Order's Asian branch."
The golem flew to the door, and as I opened it, waited at the exit from the inn. I placed the keys on the front desk, leaving.

"So this is Asian branch. I expected it..smaller.." Mayakashi led me to a side entrance, where a slender man about my height with short, but messy blonde hair that obscured his face slightly stood, seemingly in wait.
"I assume you're Naomi Kurosu?" he asked, getting straight to point.
"You assume correct," I confirmed, Mayakashi coming to a rest on my head.
He gave a friendly smile then. "Good. I'm Bak Chang. Head of the Asian branch."
"I was sent here to pick up an item," I stated.
"Oh we don't have to worry about that right now. Please, come in, you must be exhausted, we can lend you a room for the night as well as a meal, and then you can be off tomorrow," Bak suggested, stepping out of the way to let me in.
I gave a light smile. "I'd like that, thank you."
Bak lead me around, showing me the room I'd accommodate for the night and the cafeteria as well. "If you need to know anything else feel free to head to my office. If you head down this halfway you'll literally run into it," Bak pointed.
"I'll remember that," I nodded. We parted ways, I making my way to the cafeteria. A few minutes later I sat down at an empty table, consuming the meal I had requested, a cup of black coffee with enough cream and sugar to drown the coffee itself, and a bowl of warm vegetable soup as well as a cup of tea.
"I thought you were restricted from missions midget. Or did they transfer you here?" The unforgettable cold voice reached my ears as the dark-haired man sat across from me, eating his signature soba noodles.
"Delivery," I replied simply, finishing the coffee quickly. "What brings you here, Kanda?"
"A mission obviously. I'm heading back to headquarters tomorrow, not that it's any of your business," he sneered.
I sighed, taking in a spoonful of soup. "You're a weird dude Kanda. You care a lot about your outward appearance." He turned away from me, eating his soba noodles. My mouth twitched up in a smile once I noticed I had gotten him. "I'm heading back to headquarters tomorrow as well," I said between spoonfuls.
Kanda turned back to me. "Yeah?"
"Yeah." The rest of our meal was silent, but not an uncomfortable kind. I stood up once I had finished, making my way to my room. "Goodnight Kanda," I waved, walking away.
As expected, there wasn't much response from him as I entered my room, shutting the door lightly behind me. I turned on the lights to the bathroom. There was a shower, a wash basin and a toilet. There was a side closet as well, and upon opening it i was able to see that there were towels in there.
I plucked Mayakashi off my head, setting him down in my room on a desk. "Don't move. I'm just going to go take a shower."
I gathered another cotton kimono in my hands from my backpack, setting down the backpack and my staff beside the desk, taking the kimono with me to the bathroom.
I turned on the shower, making sure the water was considerably warm before removing my uniform and stepping in, beginning to relax as the water hit my body. I ran my fingers through my hair, soaping it and then later removing it. A good twenty minutes later I turned off the water, stepping out of the shower and drying off with a towel before putting on the kimono, brushing out my brown hair that only went just past the shoulder blade. After, I brushed my teeth, then exited the bathroom, finding a sleeping Mayakashi.
I smiled. "For a golem you're really cute Mayakashi." I cuddled under the blankets and pillows on the bed before getting a well-needed rest, something I felt I wouldn't be getting again any time soon.
